I am pretty sick of all the hand wringing over the performance of our secondary. Look at what the first team did with the scheme in both of their games so far; basically shut down Leftwich and Chris Simms, WTF over. Simms was 2 for seven, whoopdeedoo. Sure the youngsters have been getting smoked late in the game. If I recall correctly, that is what pre season is for, seperating the wheat from the chaff.

Wait until Travis is back in the line-up and both Allens are up to speed. I will wager anyone with nads (or without, Ladies:lol: ) that not only are the Dolphins going to beat Pitt on opening day, Herr RothelsBooger will suffer his worst QB rating of his young career. Saban is building a Juggernaut here, can't you see it? Relax, when you are looking back on the year with a 13-3 record and a bye in the first round and only two games to play to earn a Home SuperBowl, you'll feel better. I know I will.

Saban has made nothing but correct moves thus far. Trust him already. If you have a dissenting opinion, you must be a Jets fan:shakeno:

i love it :dolphins:

the thing that really bothers me is the bashing of jason allen. The truth is, and im sorry maybe this is dissappointing to people and i know nobody wants to hear this, but not all first round picks start right away. If jason allen is not our starter come week one, or at all this season, that does not mean hes going to be a bust. We've got Bell and Tillman, who could be the starters, and are pretty decent ones at that. But that doesn't mean that Jason Allen will be on the bench forever. Some people need to realize that saban doesn't just draft and coach one year at a time, he drafts and coaches with the intent that hes going to be the coach here for several years.

I agree that Allen needs time to develop and your just too emotional and overreacting if you call him a bust within the next two seasons BUT he hasn't been impressive so far and his holdout certainly hasn't helped his situation. Hopefully Coach Saban's getting in his face will straighten him out a bit and we won't have a Jamar Fletcher situation on our hands.

I concur most fervently

All excellent observations my friend. Add to that the fact that most opposing QBs are going to be feeling a lot of pressure from our front seven and I am guessing happy feet and damaged QBs on the other side of the ball. I think this D-line is going to be truly special and the Dolphins record of 49 sacks from last year and 1983 is going to fall in a big way. Maybe not Buddy Ryan's QB eating platoon of defensive-men of the early to mid eighties, but our boys are going to visit a lot of hurt on the opposition. All things considered, that can only help our secondary excel. Take that to the bank. Woot!:fire:

I didnt see the game but to me, if TB only scored 10 points with 7 at garbage time, that tells me we will be just fine. TB usually handles us, especially in TB.
Quite frankly, I am amazed at the negative stuff from other threads.

speaking of the steelers game i showed my confidence today by puttin up 50$ on the game.

and you will be rewarded

This year I put a $1,000 accross the board, AFC East Title, AFC Championship, and the Super Bowl, did it at BoDog almost a month and a half ago. I won't be working too hard next year if they come through for me. The time is right. When I was 16 in 1972, betting on the Dolphins bought me my first car: a 1968 Camaro Z-28. I made 2,200 bucks betting at my high school as they went undefeated. It smells like team spirit, no?

IMO, Allen will be just fine after a couple of games with the first team. It seems J Allen made his mistake at CB so I dont get the worry about this guy. In fact, I think it is a good thing that we see this now and when the real games begin, Saban will have him ready at the position he needs to be ready for. The dude is playing with all over the place as a rookie.
