We cut him, and now all he does is catch TD passes from Brett Favre..

Gotta love it.. Oh well.

Getting cut was probably a wake up call for him. I am glad... I hated how he was such a waste of talent... finally he is playing like he should...

Nasty

look at griese, he left the dolphins because it wasn't working out here.. now he's a starter at TB.

Griese is not looking all that great there either though....

He's a WCO QB through and through though.....he was never good at reading D's, and only has to rely on 5-7 yard slants for the majority of the game.....you want real opinions on Griese?

That was a great play by Lee today, a flag pattern for a long TD. He looked more athletic and natural catching the football on that play than any time since allstar games after his senior year at Miss State.

I understood cutting Donald Lee given Linehan's schemes. At the same time, I didn't agree. When your OL lacks athletic ability and explosive run blocking, I don't think you should jettison the TE who is an excellent run blocker, perhaps one of the best blocking TEs in the league.

Holding and false start penalties don't make anyone a good run blocker.

i couldnt believe it was the same guy when i saw it, was a nice over the shoulder catch

I think we could use him right now over Lorenzo Diamond. Then again... Donald Lee is no Will Heller!

Lee is a terrific blocker, especially when he blocks down. No one who watched him play after play would disagree.

And if we're getting rid of guys who commit multiple penalties, I don't know how we field a team.

Donald Lee is not by any measure one of the best blocking TEs in the league. No way, no how. He's not one of the best blockers for a TE his size, even.

Here's what Packer fans are saying about Donald Lee: http://www.jsonline.com/idealbb/view.asp?topicID=18656&forumID=35&catID=7&search=1&searchstring=&sessionID={F9624C67-A2FD-4DCA-ADF2-D8B30CD7AD77}

"Donald Lee- How good of a pickup was this guy? Great job TT.

"The one caught by Lee was from about 25 yards out. Bubba didn't get many from that far out. Bubba will be the starter when he comes back, but Lee adds a dimension that has been missing for a long time."

"I like the fact that Lee can stretch the field"

"With the way Lee and Martin are playing, we may never see Ben Steele again."

Now, this guy below I'm a bit concerned with his knowledge, but for balance it was in the same thread so I have to include it:

"As for Lee, I saw him play in NFLE this summer, and thought he looked great... I couldn't understand why he wasn't on someone's roster.

"Yes, his blocking is going to be non existant, but he's a complete mismatch in the passing game. That's a dimension that has been sorely lacking in the Packers offense."

It wasnt that he couldnt catch, as much as his catches totalled almost as much as his holding calls and about doubled the amount of fumbles
