Mainly losing the battle in the trenches.
We knew the Oline was pathetic and how Tannehill has survived this season without a major injury is a miracle.
but the Dline really got very little pressure on the QB and was constantly beat at point of attack on the run.
Also can we just say that the Philip Wheeler signing was a bust and move on.
i still think we made progress this year.
And are only a new offense line and a couple of pieces on defense away from being a real contender.

Yes but coaching is an issue as far as game planning and adjustments...unacceptable.

The main weakness is trying to put the offense on the shoulders of a developmental QB when facing a good pass defense. That doesn't compute.

our defense is a huge dissapointment this season. no pass rush.

And half the fans want to trade wake because Vernon has double digit sacks and Jordan is a ghost, but according to everyone he can be a sack master.

People are talking like Buffalo D was some type of world beaters. They came in 15th in the league for YPG and 18th in PPG at 25.3. We just got shut out by a team giving up 25+ points per game. Atlanta and Tampa scored 27+ on them in the last month. Today's performance in light of the importance to our season was embarrassing and shameful.

I'm just pissed I allowed this team to suck me into believing that maybe....just maybe...we were improving and we might actually make the playoffs and surprise someone. We are whom we always are. Typically mediocre. Nothing ever changes when games really matter.

Inexplicable to me that Wake, Vernon, Jordan, Starks, Odrick, etc. could not get ANY Pressure on Lewis today. I just don't understand how it happened. You're facing an inexperienced QB and don't get in his face.

Hard for the D-line to get pressure when they're getting gashed in the running game. Once they started churning out yards on the ground the D-line was on its heals and wasn't even focused on getting to the QB. Funny what a running game can do to make your QB look good...unfortunately we haven't seen that this year from our team.

I think both linebackers are a disappointment. D-line at times in this game did what they needed to do as far as keeping the Guards from getting to the 2nd level only to have no linebackers anywhere in the area to make the tackle. Still the Bills O-line was surging and getting 2 yards for the RB before he even hit the LOS.

The defense is built to defend the pass, and it does a good job of that, but it can't perform like it's built to unless it's able to one-dimensionalize an opposing team that's playing from behind and needs to pass, and that won't happen until the Dolphins' offense becomes much better at scoring and getting big leads.

I'm more concerned about coaching. We need more talent on the OL and the secondary but I just can't be won over by a coaching staff that believes so little in the running game.

What weakness? The 22 positions on the field?

But I thought the Ireland fanboys told us before the season started that we have no weaknesses? I guess it's the shoes. Yo, money! It's gotta be the shoes!!!

We run the exact same offense and defense each and every week. Forget half time adjustments as we only have one way to play. Sherman has 5 different formations and only 4 routes on his passing tree. How hard is that to defend really??? Coyle does absolutely nothing to confuse an offense and his blitzes are either telegraphed or slow developing. Both must go if we want any kind if progress.

I think this is a good point. However too many of our LBs aren't much for defending the pass or stopping the run. We need an upgrade badly there. I won't name names.

I will say this though I am glad it happened.

There is NO reason a QB should be hit has much as Tannehill was today on three step drops.

Also the Bills ran the same blitz 4 times with Roby and he was barely touched on any of them. If not for Tannehill avoiding 2 Roby would have had 4 sacks.

Your OL (all of them even Pouncy) was atrocious today and your play calling didn't help them with No Screens ever called. Except for that quick WR screen outside twice but that won't slow down a rush.
