Are you serious? First off, let me say that Pennington as bad as he may have played, he completed 75% of his passes, and there are many passes that were just barely under thrown and that one where he spiked the ball, and when he just threw it away. He could be looking at an 85% completion.

Another thing, Fasano was the third most important aspect of our offense last year behind Pennington and Brown, obviously. He didn't do **** wrong all last year, and he has one bad game and you want to ****ing cut him? Are you serious? Do you know that little about football? It's one ****ing game, get off his nuts.

Pennington didn't even have THAT bad of a game statistically. Now, I'm not going to sit here and say he didn't play horribly, because he did, but he too led us to the Playoffs last year for the first time in like 8 years. Sure he's had 2 bad games in a row, but can you really blame him for yesterday? Yes, you can blame him for Baltimore, but not Atlanta. Jake Long was getting destroyed yesterday. If he doesn't shape up, he's going to be considered a huge bust especially if you look at how Matt Ryan is playing so far.

In short, I just want to say give Fasano another chance. And get off Pennington's nuts, he had a bad game and it wasn't even his fault. Wasn't he sacked like 5 times? Maybe like 1 of those sacks were his fault, you really can't blame him.

Dude. While I completely agree with your message/point, the title is not going to win you any points around here and makes people not want to read your post.

I agree, people are being a little too emotional around here about the loss and who's to blame. As I've point out in other posts, we need to chill out and just realize it was one bad game on many people's parts. Yes, some had a worse game than others, but there were not too many players you could say had a perfect game by any means. If we continue to go winless over the next 3-4 games and look very bad in the process, then by all means, they can post all the flaming threads they want. But let's give the coaches some time to better prepare the players for next week, because they obviously weren't really ready for yesterday's game.

omg, one bad game. guess we are getting the #1 pick in the draft. Whatever, even our fins are allowed one bad game once in a while. We will be fine. How about that defense though. Cant say much bad about the "d" a few slip ups, but I'm excited about it.

Are you serious right now? Did you watch the game at all or are you basing your opinion on the stats displayed on nfl.com?

It's not hard to be the most accurate passer in the nfl when you are throwing 5 yard passes.

Did you not read my post? I said statistically he played well, but I also said I'm not going to sit here and say he didn't play terrible because he did.

While we always look for QB's that are accurate....the most important item is can he win games. A QB that can't win games is like having a receiver who is great at getting doubled up but doesn't get receptions and yards...they don't give awards out for the best deceptive receiver at the end of the year.

This. Enough with all the dump offs!!! Idc how accurate he is with a 5 yard pass!!! Lets see some bombs!!! As much as I hate to say this, we are the only team in the AFC East who can't go long. Sanchez has no problem, Edwards can out throw Penne, and Brady, ***heddaboutit. Our offense will be predictable/gimmickey until..

a) White is able to connect on those long bombs to Ginn
b) Henne comes in and he connects on some bombs
c) we find a ****ing QB who can!!!! :hsmash:

Fasno deserves all the flack he gets. Two fumbles in one game that he only caught the ball twice. That is horrible. I dont want to cut him but that was a sorry display.

this is crazy. Pennington is a very smart qb. he will get it together. you watch and see! bet he goes crazy on Indy, ONLY if Long can contain Freeney!!! I know big IF!!! lol

Honestly, I'd rather Penny take a risk down field and give up an interception than try these little dump off passes.

Especially after showing that they weren't working very effectively. I think Atlanta realized that Miami was more interested in having more blockers for protection than spreading the field and creating open opportunities down field. They took advantage of that.

And just for the record, I'm not screaming "Bench him!" at all. I believe Penny will get it together. If he continues to play like he did yesterday, Henne will start seeing some more opportunities in week 4 or so. If Pennington proves that yesterday was an outlier, and not a normal occurrence, then good. I'll be more than happy with that equation.

But if he doesn't prove himself in the following weeks, then I think it is fair to give Henne his looks. Besides, if Dolphins start out, god forbid, 0-3 or 0-4, then at this point, it's best to assess the "future". I'm not saying give up on the season. Not at all. But evaluating the future is something that should at least be looked into.

I wouldn't bet on that. indy has a better D than Atlanta....we made their D look a lot better than they are.

Indys weakness is run D and our weakness is....well everything at this point on the offensive side....

Reminds me of Ginn!

The problem is you can't beat teams if you can't score points....when you can only score 7 points...you aren't going to beat anyone.
