2019 - Murray looks like a keeper
2018 - Lamar Jackson was the last taken and the best of the bunch however long his career lasts with that playing style.
2017 - Ouch if you are a Chicago fan. Two of the best QB's the bast 20 years look to have been taken in Mahomes & Watson.
2016 - Mediocre. Goff & Wentz are either inconsistent or have durability issues
2015 - Winston & Mariota. Nothing to see here.
2014 - Bridgewater only one left. He looks to be a solid NFL starter, maybe top 15. Manziel & Bortles busts.
2013 - EJ Manuel? Woof. That was a barren 1st round for QB's.
2012 - Luck, Griffin, Tannehill, & Weeden. Great news! Dolphins drafted the best of the bunch in hindsight. Bad news, he now plays for the Titans!
2011 - Cam Newton & 3 busts in Gabbert, Ponder, & Locker.
2010 - Bradford & Tebow (Tua fans beware) Cautionary tale with injured QB's who enter the league right off of a season ending injury last season in college.
2009 - Stafford, Butt Fumble, & Freeman. Stafford is solid, definitely top 10.
2008 - Matt Ryan & Flacco. Two good careers here. One franchise qb, and one Super Bowl winner, and one super bowl loser
2007 - Jamarcus Russell & Brady Quinn. BUST BUST
2006 - Vince Young, Leinart, & Jay Cutler. Young had so much potential and a good rookie year, but wasn't very bright. Cutler was the best of this bunch and we all know what his ceiling was.
2005 - Alex Smith, Aaron Rodgers, & Jason Campbell. The year we chose Ronnie Brown over Rodgers, ouch. One of the best QB's of all time. Ouch! And a man with a pea shooter for an arm, hope Burrow has a better one than Alex Smith!
2004 - Manning, Rivers, Roethlisberger, & one bust. Epic QB first round, one of the best ever. Wonder how 2020 class will compare?
2003 - Palmer, Leftwitch, Boller, & Grossman. Meh... Palmer may have been something if another franchise drafted him. Cautionary tale to Joe Burrow.
2002 - Carr, Harrington, & Ramsey. Bust, Bust, & Bust.
2001 - Michael Vick. Great until he ended up in prison. He was faster than Lamar Jackson I feel like, but comparable.
2000. -Chad Pennington. He was a good QB, took the Dolphins to the playoffs! Pea shooter for an arm though

were they #1 overall?
read the room, jack

Umm, I would ask that you follow your own advice. the only thing written was "None of them worth 3 picks". This room isn't about the number one overall pick, when I created it, it was in response to another fin heaven brother who asked if anyone had a list of all Qb's picked in the first round the past 20 years, so I provided this one. But, do enjoy the thread...

Too early to say but he sure as hell could be. Ask me in 10 years

Yeah, I’m callin it now, he Is worth as much as Rodgers or any QB who’s ever played this game. He’s already won as many superbowls as Rodgers has.

This is irrelevant unless you compare that list to the list of all QBs drafted in round 2-7 ... imho

Yeah, but Rodgers has already had his career, while Mahomes is just beginning. See Andrew Luck or RGIII.

OTOH, if you were trading for them right now, obviously Mahomes would be way more expensive.

As i look at 2017, it gives the appearance ( so far.....) that the Bears may have picked incorrectly.

& with where we are right now, NO way do i trade 3#1's for any of the QBs in the 2020 class.

Neither Luck or RGIII won league MVP and a Super Bowl or threw for 50 touchdowns in a season, or threw no look passes, or completed passes with their left hands. LOL
