All Rookie Team

Wade Smith had a shakey rookie season, but boy I am thilled we have him. In the long run, last season will do wonders for him. Aside from a 2 game stretch against Freeney and Kearse, Smith played very solid ball, especially for a guy who was a TE in college 3 years ago.
 
Smith wasn't 2nd. He is the first left tackle on the list because Gross plays right tackle in Carolina. The All Rookie Team is:

Although looking at the list again it seems the number one criteria for making the team may have been playing time...
 
He isn't a bust at all. Give him ten pounds of upper body strength and he can handle the speed rushers.
 
Everyone wants to rip him but it's very rare to find a LT that dominates first year including the sure fire LT's in the drafts. In spite of that it was only 2 games this year he got torn a new one and lets face it, we've had J.T rip apart LT's over the years.

Smith adds about 20-25 lbs and keeps working on his technique he should be a good LT in a couple years as long as he doesn't regress and Tony doesn't screw him up.
 
Wade Smith is there just because he started every game this season. He struggled but he definitely has potential. He was rushed into a starting job and he didn't do well, but if he adds some muscle he could be a good LT in the upcoming years.
