Yep....Timbo could stop the run with the best of em...And was one of the top run-stoppers in the league his entire career.

You guys have way too much dolphin pride. I love the fins, but youve gotta be kidding me! Dwight Stephenson should be on there for sure, and Marino is arguably the best ever. Tim Bowens was good against the run, but when you talk about greatest ever, you also have to include pass rushing. JT is not dominant against the run enough to make the list. Csonka is a maybe, great runner, but blocking skills arent the same as other fullback greats.

I don't have Jason Taylor on my list....But Tim Bowens IS a homer pick because partly...it's my list...but I wouldn't have any problem putting him on there because I believe he was a great player. As far as any of the other Dolphins on my list I'll stack them up against anybody...and you can get out of my face about Csonka!...Noone ever came close to him at fullback other than Marion Motley of the Browns and I figured most people wouldn't know who he was anyway...and John Riggins, But Csonka was superior to Riggins by far in my book....I would take Jim Taylor of GB over Riggins. If you have a better idea at FB let's hear it.

Well you are talking about Fullbacks that ran the ball well, better than their teams halfback. If youre gonna compile a greatest team of all time, you're already gonna get one hell of a runner, so you want your fullback to be able to block for Walter, Sanders or Brown. I would have to say Csonka was the best at running the ball among all fullbacks. Marion Motley is the greatest fullback to many peoples eye, but I never saw him play.

I used that rational when considering Bowens for my run-stopper and was accused of being a homer....With Deacon Jones, Merlin Olsen, and Reggie White I figured a great Run-stopper like Bowens would fit nicely...Also..Just because Csonka was a great Runner doesn't mean he couldn't block...Ask Mercury Morris and he'll tell you all about it.

imo your way off on a few things 1st walter payton has to be on this list somewere, and your wr's??? how about chris carter, lance allworth? the steeler guys and clayton do not need to be on there

Yeah, my RB's would be Brown and Payton easily. Even Barry Sanders would say that, not just out of humility, because he is very humble of course. I loved watching him but Payton had the nice finess combined with power. I hate to admit but I don't know if Clayton belongs either. We could probably say Clayton in 1985 if we were going by players' best years!
