Sage needs to be given playing to see what he really has.I'm not going to sit here and say he will be an all pro but the guy has command of his team (Something that A.J lacked).Nobody should based their opinion on one game because it takes several games to really evaluate a QB.Saban is doing a big mistake by keeping that scrub Gus as starter cuz he sucks and really have nothing to gain by him starting.

I hope Saban is at least more willing to bench Gus after seeing Sage take control vs Buffalo. I was big time against Sage, but now I'm skeptical, I wanna see a couple more games. I really wanna see him vs SD and NE, cause those are the toughest teams we have to play and those are more legit teams than the Bills.
Looks like Cleo's takin a back seat for the rest of the year.
 
We are in a must win situation Gus is a better QB than sage first of all, and 2 has played in big games, Sage isnt a solid NFL starter, sry guys

stop defending gus. he sucks. sage needs more starts to form a true opinion of him.

so you go into every qb thread and say the same thing.

And you don't? Almost every post you make says "Gus sucks". You do nothing but bash him.

I think it would be good to see Sage get some consecutive starts to see what kind of a groove he could get in to.
We need to know!
 
Gus has a fracture in his finger, have you ever tried to throw a football w a fracture in your middle finger? I can hit 60 yards when im healthy, with a swollen finger alone I can only hit about 40, now fracture it, if sage had any injury whatsoever he wouldnt be able to play, if sage was the anwser we wouldnt keep trying to bring in new QB's now would we? Besides he cant find his #2 and 3 reads on plays, he stares down the intender reciever all the way down the field

Why because you and some others feel he is the answer? Is your job on the line because of decisions like that?

Please let's be honest here, most Phin fans are never happy. These are the fans that would boo Marino because he didn't score on a 90-plus yard drive and then moments later applaud him when they stopped the game to praise him for some new record he had broke.
 
Just cos some people don't want Sage to start doesn't mean they hate him.Just cos some people don't want Gus to start, doesn't mean they hate him either.I really don't care at this point who starts.I feel that if we're gonna win the superbowl is not gonna be with either of them.Right now what I want is to see Manny get 20 to 25 snaps at SD......I want Roth to get 20 snaps too....I wanna see Pope play some more and Daniels to Crowder to keep learning out there.I'm looking into the future and I think we have a great young defnece in the making with those guys.I'm also looking forward to us drafting a QB.

I just posted this in another thread. but here it goes again:

matt schaub came in for an injured Micheal vick and statsiticlly does better then vick. should he be starting... UH no. I'm not saying fereotte is the same as vick but there roles as starting QB are.

Sage and Saban both said he prospered under the 2 minute drill. There's zero reason to believe that gus couldn't have done it. what it came down to is if chambers would have caught the fade from gus with :06 on the clock and for that we will never know.
 
Anyone wish we still had AJ? If the guy had the running game going like we do now, and some protection, I think he could have been something special (I know I'm in the minority).
