Allen combo or Surtain&madison combo

I think the Allen combo that we have now, Jason Allen and Will Allen will be more successful in years to come then the Sam Madison and Patrick Surtain combo. What does everybody else think.

Well, I think Jason Allen will play safety for us.

I think Jason Allen will be a S in our system, so I'd say Surtain and Madison have the best corner duo on lock for quite some time. As far as bringing in the best secondary, I guess that's debateable, but Surtain and Madison were one of if not the the top duo in NFL when in their primes and they will always be missed, at least by this Finfan.

Even if Allen played corner, I don't think they are even close. When Surtain and Madison were in their prime here, you couldn't find a better cornerback tandem. They were the best. Madison's best days are defintly behind them. I certainly hope Will Allen and Will Poole will start a legacy of their own however.

Well, I agree that Allen will probably play safety, but if for some reason he didn't, I think we'd have to first wait and see if W. Allen is going to even be around long enough after a season or two to even come close to duplicating what Sam and Pat did here.

Allen is a better fit at playing safety then he is at corner. But even if he does play corner, he and Will Allen will not even come close to the greatest CB duo in franchise history in Madison and Surtain.

Why would you think that? Its not even possible for Will Allen to come near what Surtain or Madison accomplished. Just because their Dolphins doesn't make them any better. I hate getting on a Fins fan, but this is just stupid.

I know neither Madison or Surtain don't play for miami anymore but you can't deny what they did here during there tenure.

While in their prime I cant think of a CB duo in the hole NFL history that can beat them, McCallister/Rolle maybe, but they went together to late...no I cant think of any...

When Madison was in his prime and teamed with Surtain, there wasn't a better cover corner tandem in the NFL. But I think the corners we have now are better suited to the various zone defenses Saban and Capers will run, plus they are better tacklers.
