Look he maybe a better coach or he may not be its to early to tell. Do NOT take for granted his year with Manning which he said he learned a lot from & that he had Whisenhunt as his OC which neither would NOT have been in Miami. ALSO both teams were 8-8 & we BEAT the Chargers. Granted they won when they needed to & we didn't but they beat a team in OT on a questionable fumble that was playing mostly 2nd teamers.

This is is not a Philbin support thread but let's look at the facts as well & yes they are in & we are not b/c they beat 1 more AFC team than us fine but we beat them & had the same record.

San Diego finished 9-7

I wanted McCoy OR Phailbin. I was definitely out of my damn mind.

Bet he would have had QB sneaks called on all the 4th an inches after his OC did not the 1st time.

Philbin beat McCoy, the Dolphins had EVERY opportunity to take the 6th seed, it took a group effort to screw that up. Also, San Diego had to take a bunch of second stringers into OT to earn it. I'm not worried about McCoy

My mistake, ok you can somewhat disregard this thread although we still won our head to head

San Diego is very fortunate to have made the playoffs. I expect the Bengals to take them out next week anyway.

its a game of inches.

That's what she said

McCoy is nothing special either. Relax. Hardly beat KC's JV squad at home. Remember when Sporano took Miami to the playoffs his first year? Yeah, the honeymoon was over faaaaast.

McCoy's done more in this league. He's younger and has substantially more potential. And he has a definitive skill which would have been very helpful to us which is developing and getting the most out of his QBs. Philbin brings nothing unique or special to the table. I'm not sold McCoy has any great future as a HC in this league, but he would have made a hell of a lot more sense than the choice we made.

McCoy takes a pro bowl qb and slips into playoffs in overtime vs. a starless KC team at home.

don't go crowning this guy yet please

McCoy is by no means an upgrade over Philbin, they were almost beaten by Kansas second team and had a very lousy season with a great win here and there, very much like us.
