Alright, its been nearly 22 hours and perhaps I need more time to settle down from last night, but Im going to give an honest assessment of the game. I cant remember a time that I felt so down-trotted after a loss. I mean to see your team put together the perfect game plan of ball control and to look like a physical beast out there was so impressive, I felt so proud of the team. But then the defense goes out and act like they did not prepare all week. Did they not know that Manning play actions alot. The only guy I was afraid of was Dallas Clak and what do you know first play 80 yards. Its not like that was Antonio Gates out there whos a real physical guy. Nope it was undersized and not exactly a speed demon Dallas Clak. For the little amount that the defense played it might of been the worst outing on that side of the ball that I have ever seen. Obviously there were some bright spots with Ronnie Brown showing that he can be a top 10 back at least. Ricky Williams hit the hole as hard as ever has, which he does evey week. Jake Long bounced back from lousy week last week blocking Freeney. Now Ted Ginn will get killed on this board and maybe rightfully so, again its not his fault he was picked at number 9, remember real dumb people picked him at that spot. The drops he had in the end-zone, the first one I think he was thinking about how he was going to get his feet in. But he still has to make a better effort than that. The late TD drop was a real tough catch and I dont think he got all off his hands on it but you could make the case that he should of had it. Heres where I had a reveleation about the game and Im sure Ill get blasted for saying this. I think the team should start Henne over Pennington. Let me say this I dont think Chad cost us the game at all, although the last drive looked strange. The reason I say Henne should start is that Im tired of every other team having the possibility to score on only a few plays not always scoring on 13 play drives that might only get a field goal. I want to be able to have opposing defenses respect our pasing game. With Pennington in there so much of the play book gets shelved and thats not going to let you win anything significant. Its not Penningtons fault its just what I want to see happen.

Well, if you can't remember being this 'downtrodden' after a phins loss then you obviously haven't been a fan very long. This game is barely a blip compared to the many other brutally disappointing losses over the years.

They got beat by one of the best QBs to ever play the game last night...end of story.

I watched us lose 62-7 and I was furious, this felt like I gout punched in the stomach, just sick stuff out there

They never had a chance in the 62-7 nightmare...it was over before you could get too emotionally involved IMO.

Try Stoyo's missed FG against SD and friggin' Stan friggin' Humphreys. Talk about a massive depressive episode. It ruined me for weeks.

dosent mean he hasnt been a fan for very long just bc he is very down on this specific loss. if you think about it, how often do teams control the clock for more than 3 quarters of the game, convert 15-21 on 3rd down, have over 200 rushing yds , r at home, and yet still manage to allow 27 pts and lose. im also extremly upset about this loss, and cant remember recently a much tougher loss due to the fact that everything that teams try to do to win games is exactly wat we did, and yet we still couldnt get it done. makes it very frustrating.
