i was wondering if anyone in here has ever been on the usenet newsgroups, specifically this one, and seen an article called something to the effect of "rules for anti rooting". i first saw it in the miami-dolphins newsgroup in the 90's.

it was a long winded missive giving rules for which teams to root for, based on past injustices (perceived or real) in situations like we face this weekend where the dolphins aren't in the playoffs so who do you root for.

i had it on disk a long time ago but lost it in a disk crash, and haven't ever been able to find it since then. it was a really funny read, and i'd just like to know if anyone has seen or heard of it, and has a copy.

I posted at that group semi-regularly for a couple of years until finding finheaven. They have some very knowledgeable posters but last year especially in the spring it was taken over by some bigoted posters specifically one guy who flooded the board with "Jew Fiedler" threads. I basically stopped posting at that point. Apparently no such thing as moderators.

No, I don't remember that "rules for anti-rooting" missive although it does sound funny. The Google version of that alt.sports group, per my link, does have a Search function so maybe you could try there.
