I like you my fellow brothers and sisters have seen horrible football for about six years in aqua and orange, but for some reason other NFL teams are giving millions for guys who have never produced here. Macintosh to KC? for like seven years, the guy is a revolving door at tackle. Sammy morris?, nice special teams player, but he gets hurt about every three games and he has to have at least one fumble per game. Now wes welker for 39 miillion?, what! he led the league in fair catches, i can do that, and we are going to get a second rounder for him, are you kidding me, Has everyone gone nuts and the phins are finally smart, god i hope NE keeps signing our guys that is the best way to beat them send them our scrubs.

Sammy Morris and Wes Welker are veteran utility type players. They offer a team many options as they could allow you to keep more players at a certain position, say an extra OL, than you normally would.

They are also very good special team performers and you can win a few games there with the right player in place.

i know but a second for welker and the broncs gave us a six for wilkerson who was horrible

The thing I hate the most that its the PATS.....

also Letting Wes go hurts he is super clutch.

was wilkinson horrible for us?

He registered 14 tackles for us and Zgonina was above him on the depth chart. As for Welke, if NE wants to give him that much money and the (I believe) 60th pick overall in the draft then there's no way we can match that offer sheet. I am upset about Sammy Morris leaving but remember this guy is one more failed UA away from being suspended for a whole season.

Welker would fill the role Troy Brown played if he does indeed retire.

Most 6th rounders don't make the final roster or make any noticeable contributions so by bringing in Wilkinson, he can play immediately for a year or two.

Most 6th rounders dont contribute right away? Thats not true. Some of them do can do a lot. And how do you know we wont get a guy like Tom Brady in the 6th. The 6th rounder was genious on our part.

who cares about morris i didnt know he played special teams he is a good back up but i think if we let him go so easy i looks like we will be watching #34 agiann way better back up

Tom Brady played in one game his rookie year. Threw like 3 -4 passes and zero TDs. How is that making a contribution right away.

How many other 6th rounders can you name that made a contribution their first year??

Rex Hadnot ended up being the best O-lineman we had during his rookie year.

Who cares!!! we need picks and some cap, so that we can signed some impact players, like the olb from Pitts!!

Couldn't have said it better! I like what the Pats have done so far, let Dillon go - no loss now that you have thier new RB stud. Signed Thomas & just picked up Welker (who as you said is clutch) & a good special teamer in Morris. Hopefully we'll one up them w/the draft & start picking up some nice FA's. Plus don't the Pats have TWO 1st rounders??? OUch.

Welker and Morris are the mulit-role, veteran guys that fit the Pats system. Granted, I feel they are overpaying big-time for Welker, and it'd be a mistake for us to match the tender. I'd rather see what talent we can land with the 2nd rounder.
