I mean seriously I'm not going to get into a long discussion here but is it just me or does anyone believe that the dolphins are actually playing pretty darn good (without reverting to stats & numbers, I'm talking about watching the game).

For instance our defense; the chargers got in the redzone twice as much as us but yet only punched it in once (The philip rivers run). The offense drove down the field 95 yards from our own 5 yard line (Before the bobble by RB) and many more examples I dont feel like explaining. I noticed a HUGE improvement in some of our most problemed areas such as with our tackling (Not many missed tackles this game) and the O line seems to be getting it together somewhat. Dont get me wrong we still have our problems (NO #1 wr's etc...)

But all & all I really see a huge potential in us if we can basically STOP beating OURSELVES (penalties, ginn dropping passes etc..)
and just gel everything
But based on the majority of threads here maybe its just me that see's this.

I'll have what you're having...

The O sucked the first game, the pass D sucked the second game, we didn't look too bad in this game. The pressure really got put on us after Chad P went down, making it difficult for Chad H. I'd say overall we look okay to good.

Not to rain on the parade, but we also looked okay to good going 1-15.....but that still sucked.

Im hard pressed to think of any NFL teams that have a worse passing offense than Miami. Perhaps Oakland or Cleveland. This wr core and passing offense is hard to watch.

i mean even when we went 1-15 we lost alot of games by 3 points so were always in games but all that matters is the record. We cant win games because we cant put points on the board and we cant stop other teams from putting points up. We let the Colts drive down and score in like 40 seconds...today we let the Chargers go 5 plays for a touchdown in like 2 minutes. We let up too many big plays, we have no consistant pass rush, give too much of a cushion to receivers and teams just move the ball on us with ease. If teams want to beat us all they have to do is abandon the rushing game and just air it out because we cant cover guys down field.

Once again, without stats & numbers involved just looking at the Bad start against ATL & seeing us slowly improving in the areas we were weak in the previous weeks...... except for things like ginn (And I won't say our WR's in general because bess & others are doing the best they can with the role they've been assigned to) just not being a consistent threat, hell not a threat at all at this point, and penalties.... Like I said before we are beating OURSELVES with these small but costly mistakes.

But as a whole I see improvement on D (If you watched the game you may notice how a few of chargers big passing plays were a result of our CB's (Jones & smith) slipping and falling in coverage leaving Chargers receivers open otherwise we're good in coverage. The Oline is playing a helluva lot better the weeks 1 & 2....& incorporating the run more helped open up the passing game as well.

Maybe I'm just naive

the O-line has stepped it up considerably since week 1 vs atlanta. The running game has been fairly decent and the passing game has been flat out terrible. The defense has been terrible at defending against the pass...so there you have it as our reasons for being so bad so far this season...we cant pass and we cant defend against the pass.

In the game of life
It's really sad
That 'pretty good'
Is pretty had.

Davone Bess will lead the team in every recieving catgegory this season. Hopefully he stays healthy throughout the season. Why is Hartline not getting minutes.

Bess is clearly the most sure-handed receiver we have and hes shifty so after the catch even if defenders are close he has that quick shiftiness to evade the intial defender and gain an extra 3 or 4 yards and hes not afraid of contact (like Ginn).

No, but we're not playing good ENOUGH.

And that's mainly because we're not at the same quality level as the teams we're playing. Especially defensively. Not yet. Next year.

were playing mediocre football and that gets you nowhere in the NFL.
