Is hard to believe that Dolphins fans on this board are hoping that one of our players will suck just so that they can say THEY were right about who was better.This should be abour OUR team and hoping that every player will do great so that we can win games and one day win the superbowl.That's what every fans should be hoping for.Instead we have a split of fans rooting for one guy and against the other so that they can tell everyone how they knew all along that their guy was the one worth of starting.Maybe if we'd all use our energy and got together behind OUR team then the Dolphins could become a better team.This is not about who knows more than who on this board.This is about us wanting a superbowl team again.Rooting for the same cause.Rooting for everyone of our players.Standing behind our team.Hoping every player will be the best they can be.I am for one rooting for BOTH Beck and Henne to be the best they can be,as well as every other player on OUR team.When you do that,you know you are supporting your team.When you hope that one of our players will do bad just that you can look like you know everything,then what you're doing is rooting for yourself to be right,instead of rooting for the team I love.The team everyone of us SHOULD love.It is OUR team.

No you're not. But those guys rooting for one or the other are able to make themselves the 'loudest' because that's all they seem interested in posting about, so they reiterate it in a hundred different threads, over and over.

Really wish the 'insert player' fans would stop ruining this board. A Dolphin fan wouldn't care who succeeds as long as one of em does..or both..
 
I said pretty much the same thing in another thread. It's almost become laughable. I just want stability with the QB position. I'm tired of wondering who are starter will be every year. Let's just hope somebody on our roster steps up and settles this once and for all.
 
Its not about that. Beck was never given a fair chance and thrown under the bus for it. I hope the best man wins obviously because that is what is best for the team and I am a Dolphins fan first, but I have a soft spot for Beck. He works his tail off, is incredibly smart, a gym rat, very accurate, has a fairly strong arm (yes I said it because it is true), and can make brilliant throws when given the time. He, however was thrown into a bad situation on a horrible team and most everyone is calling for his head after a few starts. So yeah I am rooting for both Henne and Beck for the teams sake, but sorry for having a heart and rooting for the little guy that could/can. I personally don't think our franchise QB is on the team yet, but that isn't going to make me stop rooting for Beck or hoping that either one of these guys will prove me wrong.
 
I would love for either of them to be our longterm answer at QB. All things being equal, I guess I'd prefer Beck. I just think he's more likeable. Henne struck me as a lil too arrogant when they interviewed him on draft day. But truthfully, I just want someone to step up and clearly outplay the others in camp. Hell, I wouldn't even mind if it was McCown though he is older. But i'll take anything at this point.

I am rooting for a great competition at QB, and I am excited to see whoever earns the opening day start. I just love the fact that we have 3 competitive players fighting to lead this team.

I root for the Phins but no matter what you have an opinion. I rooted for Beck last year and hoped I was wrong. What you hope and what you believe are two differant entities. I hoped we were a playoff team last year, I believed we were about 5-11, I saw we were 1-15. Dont tell me that you dont think anyone player on the Phins is any better than the other.I have never wished failure on any dolphin player but I call them as I see them and am not wrong that often.
 
I'm pulling for a fiercely spirited and FAIR QB competition not only between Beck and Henne but also McCown (my dad worshipped YA Tittle who they said was washed up by the time he got to the Giants). So long as the legitimate winner EARNS the starting job I'm fine with it. I just grow upset when one of my players gets so maligned when he's trying his hardest and IMO didn't have a fair audition last year - so my blowback is largely a gut reflex reaction but doesn't include dumping on Henne.

The presumption that this FO has hand-picked the next QB in Henne I think can be debated when you see most of the same FO cast of characters in Dallas trading for their glitzy next franchise QB Henson (so much for the Michigan "mystique") over Bledsoe and Romo, but when the smoke cleared, guess who was still standing (and dating washed up celebrities)? I think the same is feasible here and wouldn't write Beck off so quickly.
 
I am rooting for all three of them......we have needed a decent quarterback for years and as far as I am concerned,I don't really care who gets the starting job,as long as he can get it done when it counts.
That being said,I do like Beck and I always have.How can you not like this kid?he is just an all around nice guy.He was thrown into an impossible situation last year(any quarterback would have had problems behind that horrible O line)so I think he didn't really get a fair shot from the fans last year who wanted instant gratification and the next Dan Marino on day one.
It's going to be an interesting training camp with all four of them trying to get the starting job.
