The Colts could afford to let him go with the next one waiting to take over in Andrew Luck. Manning would still be a Colt if they did not have the first pick in the draft.

thats a bunch of ballony dude, andrew luck is a great talent but any college qb will always be a question mark in the pros. Look at jamarcus russell, he was great in college but sucked in the nfl. You dont know how good they will turn out. Look at alex smith and aaron rodgers, alex smith was the #1 pick in the draft while rodgers fell to the 2nd round and today is the best qb in the league while alex smith cant even make the top 5 qb in the league. The colts let him go cause he was not as good as he once was and also questions mark around his neck that they dont want to let out.

Hopefully you won't be upset too when Denver trades us Tebow for our #1 if Manning signs there because that could be a very real second option for Ross. Bringing in Tebow (a Florida favorite) would have a huge impact on ticket sales and jersey sales. Flynn would have no such impact.

Whats Bologna. Is banking on a 27house year old, 7 th round quarterback with two career starts to come in and be a franchise guy. I suppose next your going to tell us all when marino retired you were glad because he was old and broken down and it was time for a young guy like fiedler to be a franchise guy. Please bro, peyton gives us the best chance to win, yes it is short term, however we can still draft for the future. Not sure how signing peyton manning changes that.
My first choice has been Flynn for awhile especially when we got Coach Philbin. I got a bit swept up in the Peyton madness of the last week but I'm over it now. If the team has serious interest in Flynn and believe in his ability to make the team better then I don't want them to let PM continue to string them along indefinitely. Manning needs to let them know where they stand by tomorrow afternoon.

What a load of bollocks! If Miami trade their 1st for Tebow I'll be distraught! This is the NFL and Tebow will be ineffective next season as defences will have his number. A Philbin/Flynn combo should sell tickets.
