The Raiders he played with weren't too fond of him either. I've heard a couple of stories about things that went on over there when he was there with chucky.
I thought he was annoying as hell at first, before I realized who it was talking. He is a very knowledgable guy. He's a quadrillion times better than that meat-headed offensive lineman that CBS usually uses.

Gus Johnson is my favorite, man can that guy call a game
i like gus johnson too. yeah gannon says "ath-a-letic" too much, but otherwise doesn't bother me. not nearly as bad as kornheiser or phil simms.

I had the volume turned down half the time, I was getting so tired of him saying " the defense looks confused" and then we would make a good play. He didn't have a clue most of the day.

I couldn't stand that guy talking at one point. Granted I was frustrated at the end of the second half with the missed tackles and mistakes, but Gannon was pissing me off.
I have never liked this guy for games. Nothing he comments on is more insightful than the average fan.
They also fail to catch on key things like Ricky fumbling, ankle sprains when the guy is holding his knee, Holliday getting poked in the eye. If you aren't going to point out anything that you know because you played QB in the NFL, then at least catch the obvious stuff.
