i mean i know he brings experience and leadership and teaching, blah blah... but we got that in zach already, and i really feel like him just getting a roster spot sucks because msot likely he'll be hurt for 50% of the season and really channing or eddie moore or pope or glenn could be starting at that LB spot and developing...

really id wanna see, spragen zach and channing as the starting LB core, with a 3-4 set of, taylor/bowns, zach, channing, spragen... that would be ideal, and would be a good thing for channing not only for his development but hes been playing real well anyway, now we'll have old man seau whos lost a mighty big step trying to keep up in there... i dont know i just wanted him to not resign during the offseason...

am i the only one?

I think he will be splitting time with Crowder until Crowder figures things out! Seau has said he wants to coach, maybe he will be somewhat of a player coach this year?

Only thing that bothers me about Seau is his blitzing usually gets nowhere and he misses ALOT of tackles. Im not opposed to him being here and starting this year however.

Having Seau around is going to do wonders for Crowder's development and career. How can you be against that?

You aren't the only one, but I don't agree with you.

I agree about the blitzing. Did he have any sacks last year? In this new scheme I think Seau will be a plus. His leadership is more important than you might think, especially in tough games on the road etc.I really like Crowder so far. He really hits hard and has a good nose for the ball. We're allright at linebacker IMO but very thin at Safety.

u want him here if he misses ALOT of tackles and his blitzing usually gets him no-where? I think Crowder will be pushing Seau and if Seau gets injured again (hoping he doesnt) we have a good player to step in with Crowder.

No, I didnt want him at all.

seau is going to go insane in saban's system. imagine seau in a belichick scheme. it will be the same thing here. jr is perfect for what we are trying to do. now, the only question is can he stay healthy this year?

Well I dont want to flat out CUT him. I said im not opposed. I didnt say I want him to start over Crowder. So what are you arguing anyway?

I was actually excited to see him re-sign with the team. I think he has a little left in the tank and will be invaluable in the learning process of Crowder, Spragan, Pope, Moore, etc.
