Who Felt Sage Rosenfels Never got the Shot he deserved in Miami?? I always felt he could have been good for us i know this is in the past and trust me im very happy about our situation now but its just a rainy day and i was just reading about him so i wanted to hear what all the other Bretheren thought!

I never felt that Sage was a quarterback for this team. I don't know if he got a fair shot, but I didn't think that he was a good quarterback anyway. Sorry, not trying to be negative, but that's how I felt at the time.

I feel he did get his chances. Every camp he was there. And also the times he started or came in as relief.
Some chances might of been better than others, but he still got them. And now, up in Minnie, he'll get a bigger chance.

no doubt Sage was always under-rated & not appreciated in Miami

but that is history. we now sport one of the most complete, competitive & talented QB stables in the NFL. hope we don't repeat the same mistakes we made with Sage, talent is a precious commodity.

let the #Two's develop & compete.

I'm not so sure I'd want a QB that's dumb enough to try to leap over the 3 defenders at once and think it'll end with him hurdling them all of them, landing, and running for a TD

Rosenfels is a pretty good backup QB, and will never be anything more than that.

I think he got his chances but was too inconsistent. He would have some games where he would play lights out and I thought that we finally found ourselves a Qb but other times, he played like garbage and reminded me too much of Jay Fiedler.

Fiedler was an older version of Sage IMO, they both only began to catch on to the whole NFL QB thing at an older age and because of that, they never found the right situation in which to excel.

-Both had limited talent but had the dsire to win, both during the season and the offseason.
-Both had the heart and leadership abilities to lead their team to a scoring drive but also failed to do it consistently.

yes you are the only one

He was a big arm guy, who could (and did) hit a couple big plays that got some salivating. However, he is way to inconsistant to be an every down QB, especially on a team like we had based on D, and low turnovers.

I doubt that you are the only one.

I was certainly rooting for him since he went to high school about 45 miles from me. And he certainly was a better Qb than Fiedler could ever dream of being. As to how he would have done had he been given a chance. No one knows. But I do know he is gutsy and will try and do whatever it takes to win.

I think he got his chances. He certainly didn't have much of a field to beat in Miami for the starter job, but he never could. He'd come into games and be pretty terrible, with the exception of the Bills game that we won 24-23 when Gus Frerotte got KO'd. He's a very mediocre player.

I always liked him, but ya, he is too inconsistant. Vikings would have done a lot better to pusue John Beck.

I wish he can find a starting job somewhere. Something to get iowa state fans happy about since they're not doing worth a crap right now.
