My wife and me recently got into a heated arguement over my miami dolphins game day habits.

She told me, I do things see has never seen someone do before. But i reasoned with her, that many fans are just like me.

So i got to wondering, On gameday, I yell and scream at the tv, calling out players for missed tackles, etc... Give them quick movitional speeches, i even talk smack about the opponents. I am on an emotional rollercoaster for the whole time the game is on. If they win, I celebrate like its 1972 all over again, and if by any chance they lose, well... Im just really down.

So I was wondering, Am i the only lunatic out there? And what are your weird gameday habbits?

Pretty much. I'm probably a little quieter than most but there's plenty of pacing and muttering involved. Wife likes to go shopping or even goes in to work on gamedays...

Actually me and you sound just alike and my wife was the same way in the begining, she thought I was nuts. She was actually a tampa fan when I met her by default anyway, now she is just like me screams at the tv and all rootin for the fins oh how times have changed now theres 2 lunatics in the livingroom on sundays!!

I would say I'm a passionate fan because during our 4th quarter
problems I start looking through the Sunday newspaper for
CVS and Walgreens sales adds with the intent of purchasing a family pack of razor blades

Right there with ya, my three year old daughter at first would ask "daddy why are you yelling at the tv?" Now its "the dolphins are doing bad again huh" lol

I put out a 1972 undefeated commemorative trophy with a Old school Dolphins painter hat on top of it and face it towards the big screen. I then proceed to rant and rave all game long and on the big plays I pace back in forth to get the blood flowing and adrenaline going. I also get fighting mad if anyone some much as hints that we are going to lose.
And I never quit expecting us to pull a game out. I expect the miracle. I remember the onsides free kick that we recovered to then drive and when the game. I could swear I remember scoring two touchdowns with just 2 seconds coming off the clock. I just have a never say die attitude towards our pulling it out!

And this year is no exception. I expect us to win it all. And in the beginning of the season when threads ask for predictions for the season I will always predict an undefeated season! I just can't see how any fan can do anything else. Afterall fan is short for fanatic!

im the exact same way. my wife makes fun of me. and gets mad because i have to have the laptop and the tv.

me- sorry cant go, im slitting my wrist as i typ.e....

So yeah we are both on the same page my friend.

I have to have the house cleared for my dad and me. My wife has to take the kids shopping or to a movie. Otherwise they'd definitely hear stuff they shouldn't!

Let's just say there's a reason why i buy $10 dollar garage sale coffee tables and not nicer furniture lol

Haha, you're not the only one man. I don't do it that badly, but I learned the yelling habit from my dad who I've seen in physical pain after turnovers.

Bro i'm the same way, i just get real into the game and for me it's kind of embarrasing but i stoped caring a long time ago. I think if ur at a sportsbar or something like that it's not as bad because everyone is drunk and it's less attention grabbing.
