Amazed ovee the excitement of trading for Tyler Thigpen

I guess being 0-3 breeds excitement over the slightest things. I remember how some on the board were excited by trading for Cleo Lemon.
We did not have a backup qb so we traded for one, its really that simple.
Its much more of an indictmant of White not being ready to be our backup rather than not thiking Henne is ready, in my opinion.

Thigpen played pretty solid overall last season for the Chiefs but he was deep down the depth chart for the chiefs behind Cassel and Croyle. I dont see him as any competition to take the job from Henne unless Henne is downright awful. I personally would rather have Garcia as the backup but Thigpen is a solid choice. He is a too inaccurate to be a full time starter in my opinion but not a bad guy to have if your starter goes down.

I do find the hate for Henne already at an amazing level, so much that some people want to state that Thigpen is a more talented qb.
 
I'm not shocked. People are still sharting themselves about Penny to say the least.

But if people actually took the time to look at Thigpen for what he was...they will see he is the anti thesis of their beloved Penny. His accuracy is wild at times to say the least.
 
hey..any new NEWS is GOOD ..... I hope for hENNE He lives up to his potential... Cause if not he will loose the Job....
I will go AGAINST ALLOT OF PEOPLE but I highly doubt the Fins will let Henne choke in more than 2 Games before Hes taken out....
For that being said let him Screw up the First Half on Sunday and watch them sit him...
 
me three honestly, take a look at the guys highlights. the one thing i can say is that he can move. but thats not his primary role, he's a QB, an take a look at his throws, he threw several ints, he throw several balls down the field were his guys(D. bowe) made great plays on the ball, out side of that they should have never been thrown! he under threw several balls, and his balls seem to hang in the air. The point! great to have another guy, but i'll take me chances with henne thanks...
 
I agree. But honestly, any new player on this team will have a 10 page thread here about him. Wake, all our draft picks, Davone Drew, and now Thigpen. Just natural really.

I think they give him more than 2 games. Look at Thigpen last year he was horrible his first 4 games and then showed improvement.
 
I am excited because Thigpen can salvage the portion of the offense dedicated for White, who has shown he is not exactly ready.

Thigpen can provide a running and passing threat in the Wildcat, and also run the new spread look we've installed.

regardless anything that MAKES US A BETTER TEAM is a PLUS...................


now ALL we need is to find a way to get the **** RID OF GINN
now that would be a good week..
 
I don't see what's so amazing about it, he had a good last year. Why wouldn't it be exciting to get a QB who had some success and has starter experience?
 
Alot of Cheif fans thought Thigpen was gonna be their QB of the future this year, but Pioli went with Cassel instead. Fact is alot of Cheif fans were real pissed over the fact Thigpen was ru of a chance to compete.

Kid made chicken salad out of chicken crap in KC. We all saw he played against us last year and he has shown he can have a place in this league. Check out the kids number and you might start thinking if Henne does not pan out. Thigpen could recieve a serious chance.

I guess but does anybody really think playing Thigpen over Henne is really better for the team. I know I dont.

I dont see anything that Thigpen can do better exept run. Also Thigpen played worse than Henne did in preseason but yet he gets a pass because he is the new guy. Cassel seems a better guy to have at qb then Thigpen so I dont blame thier new GM. You dont win with low 50 percent passers.

I get it, you're worried about Thigpen taking your boys job. Well, I say if it happens it would have happened for a reason. If Henne is the QB for the Dolphins he won't lose his job.

What I don't understand is your lack of excitement to acquire a QB with good starting experience for (i'm assuming) a low round pick.
