Heres my best mock

Round 1- Levi Brown.. Boring pick but it fixes the OT spot for years (hopefully) UNLESS QUINN IS STILL ON THE BOARD
*Round 2- Swap first 2nd round pick with Raiders ang give them our 4th round pick*
Round 2- Ryan Kalil- Best center in the draft, follows Cams philosophy of fixing the trenches before anything else
Round 2- Trent Edwards- Most intriguing QB prospect IMO, scouts say his fundamentals are best in the draft, will have a year or two behind another Trent perhaps?
Round 3- Paul Solai- Huge run stuffing NT that fits perfectly into Fins defensive scheme... Still raw, will have a year to learn behind 38 year old Traylor
Round 6- Courtney Brown-Small school fast and big CB, fast, recorded 7 INTs in 05, next year Qbs stopped throwin his way, huge potential
Round 6- CJ Ah You - Fast, natural pass rushing DE, fits Fins defensive scheme
Round 7-Kyle Cook- Michigan State OG, read that Fins are interested in this guy. good late round addition
Round 7-Michael Allan- Whitworth TE, fast, nice sized TE, will need a year atleast but may have potential

I addressed the oline and aging dline day 1 and added a nice QB prospect. Day 2 is more for depth and maybe a steal somewhere? who know
I didnt address the reciever position bc I think Cam will give this group, more specifically, Chambers, one more year to correct things. Plus, looking back at Cams past teams, Chiefs and Chargers, good recievers were not part of the equation.

I dont think Brown is a bad pick, i just think it goes against cam's philosophy drafting o-line early. He and houck fixed san diego's line with 2 rookie starters drafted on the 2nd day. Kalil in the 2nd would be good value.

If we take Brown (and im not saying that we wont) then we've failed as a franchise in the draft, because that means we drafted a need player in the top ten rather than the best player in the top ten. Normally im not all about ranking players or worried about reaching for guys, but i believe that you should only take a top ten prospect in the top ten of the draft. In this case, that would make Levi Brown a huge reach at #9. (although let me reiterate, im not saying miami wont)

The rest of your draft looks solid enough, although i'd probably rather Stanton instead of Edwards with that pick in the 2nd.

If we pulled off that draft day trade, that'd be great. Although its really unlikely, and i doubt that based on the chart the raiders would go for it. The raiders need Kalil a lot more than we do. I say we stay where we are in the 2nd and take the top receiver left. (i dont even care which one, Bowe, Jarrett, Rice, Gonzalez, Hill, not important to me)

Can I mock your mock draft??

No j/k no mocking, however, I do not want Levi Brown for our 1st pick, unless we trade down and take him at 15 and get another pick for that! I dont think he is value at #9

Disagree with you on WR, we need two in the draft. We also need a change of pace RB, and a replacement to replace Zach Thomas in a few years.

C Nick Hardwick was drafted in the 3rd. Their 7th rounder Shane Olivea coming in and starting right away at RT was like manna from heaven. It doesn't happen often enough to count on it.

That makes one of the 1st day and one on the 2nd day.

Cam doesn't have a philosophy of not drafting OL early. This is the first draft he has had the input of a head coach, so we have not seen his draft philosophy at all. Mueller, we know looks for his 1st rounder to be someone who can come in and start as a rookie. Levi would start somewhere as a rookie, though probably not OLT.

I like it except I would not trade up to draft Kalil as much as I like him. If he's gone by pick 40, just take Samson Satele who could also come in and start as a rookie.
IMO, Courtney Brown will be gone by the 6th, so I'd say we'd need to use the 4th on him that was saved by not trading up.

remember, in the article it said mjiami will prob consider landry or willis if available at number 9 have it not be quinn. I DOUBT we reach at 9 and isntead take whats BPA at 9. Even if it is NOT a need for this year but maybe it will be next year ala ZT being a FA and 35-6.

Your probably right. Courtney Brown is a sleeper gone wide awake.

Kalil would be the steal of the draft if we got him in the 2nd round. That would be perfect for us.
