Amazing that some people on this board are still blaming the fans....lol

Sports is the only industry where it's viewed as ok to
blame the customer for a product's failure. Most people
would be offended if you complained about a product
and the manufacturer said you were to blame.

Not sports. It's the fan's fault the team is inept.

Bingo. :hclap:

Put a good quality product on the field if you want me to give you my hard earned money that could be used for my bills, my family, and my savings. If you blame fans, learn about life and then come back to me. Until then, GTFO.

I assume this thread is partially directed to me. Fine, but what this thread FAILS to understand is that my beef isn't that the fans are responsible for the recent losses or even in the previous few seasons. My problem is that the stadium is always filled with opposing fans week in and week out for well over a decade. My problem is that playoff games don't sell out. Has nothing to do with the current regime, or even the one before this. This dates back to the Shula days and I am embarrassed as a fan to see this.

This is a bigger problem that does not just relate to the current product on the field. It is a problem that Bill Cowher, Andrew Luck and a playoff berth in 2012 won't fix. That is scary to think about, wouldn't you agree?

Definition of Band Wagon Fans.. those who only show up when your team is winning

I agree but when your team has been terrible for 95% of over 10 years now you can't continue to ask them to spend money on crap. Would you continue going to a restaurant over and over and over even though you are getting served crap and being charged for lobster. Seriously would you? The organization is a joke, do they realize that most of the dolphins fans that go to games and live here in miami are UM fans? Then they go and celebrate UF just to make some money off of tebow since he is going to be in town. Who does that? What other team in pro sports would do something like that? There is only 1 legit stand-up organization in miami and its the Heat.

Also before you say the heat have big 3 and blah blah blah..... Thats the point, whether its getting Zo, Hardaway, O'neal or big 3 they seem to always try and get the best players in order to win.

Sure, if I was one of those fans that goes to the stadium for the booze and the "experience" maybe i'd go to the game anyways, unfortunately, I only watch football to see my team win. It took 3 seasons of having season tickets for me to learn the lesson, I'm not spending my money on a team that has lost 11 out of the last 12 home games, TWO of those being against the texans ( 0-6 alltime). So PLEASE, spare me the bandwagon fan talk. I'll stay home watching for free on my new 55" samsung LED.

"My new 55" samsung LED"

No doubt paid for with the cash you didnt waste going to the stadium...smart man :)

For the record, I am not blaming fans for not attending games when their team is not winning. I just want better attendance. If it's too hot for fans, if there is so much else to do in Miami that locals choose to do something else, if locals cannot afford to go to games, then perhaps the Dolphins should move somewhere else. Just as a customer should not buy a bad product, a smart business owner would not try to sell heaters in the desert or air conditioners on the North Pole. It works both ways.

I have no problem with fans not showing up to the games to support lack luster performances. Just don't complain when Miami gets called out for having the worst fans.

If a restaurant keeps giving you bad food, are you still going to go eat there? No! Iit's not about having bad fans, it's about not supporting a crap product. When are people going to understand that? Why continue to line Ross's pockets with money if he will not make this situation better?

A smart business owner would not move a team out of Miami if he is making money there. Ross would be an idiot to move the Dolphins because he can't get a couple extra thousand people to watch us lose.

sorry I disagree ,The FIN are in the TOP of NFL in attendance
during a recession living in Miami ,where the unemployment rate is one of the
highest in the Country ...

Get over it ,This is not Philadelphia or Boston or some small little town in the middle
of nowhere..

In Miami you'll have to compete for your fans dollars.
instead Team owner prefer to over price there product

Child Please !!!

Here come the Fear tactic maybe the Dolphin Should move
please Stop it ...

A couple extra thousand? Oh, and the 12th man does make a difference. It would be nice to see the 12th man at Dolphins home games actually root for the Dolphins every week. If you don't believe that the 12th man makes a difference then you never saw an Orange Bowl Dolphins game. Even if they do fill the stadium, if half of the fans are rooting for the other team there is no home field advantage.

Have you seen the Dolphins Fan in the stands in Houston, Tamp Bay ,and Jacksonville
it happen ...

Your over reacting trust me...

Just win baby
and there will come...

That's your problem what is your solution? Should ticket sales be reserved for Dolphin fans only? Should every ticket purchaser be screened to make sure they are coming to the stadium to root for the Dolphins?

Just cause our fans won't show up to watch us get stomped on our own turf game after game doesn't mean our opposition's fan is gonna pass up the opportunity to see their team kick Dolphin tail.

How about not having our big mouthed players cramping all over the field? How about actually practicing in the Florida heat instead of that stupid bubble? How about actually playing 1 o'clock games in the heat so we can actually use our "home field advantage". You honestly think a few extra thousand people would have made a difference the last 2 weeks? We'd still be 0-2. It's all on the incompetence of the idiots in our front office.

Want better attendance? Easy ...win.

It's not at all about the quality of fans. It's about the poor quality of the product. It's about a long history of putting a poor quality product on the field.

Objectively, it is about the "wise" public not buying into the misery of the Post-Shula era sub par coaching.
