Amazing that some people on this board are still blaming the fans....lol

I assume this thread is partially directed to me. Fine, but what this thread FAILS to understand is that my beef isn't that the fans are responsible for the recent losses or even in the previous few seasons. My problem is that the stadium is always filled with opposing fans week in and week out for well over a decade. My problem is that playoff games don't sell out. Has nothing to do with the current regime, or even the one before this. This dates back to the Shula days and I am embarrassed as a fan to see this.

This is a bigger problem that does not just relate to the current product on the field. It is a problem that Bill Cowher, Andrew Luck and a playoff berth in 2012 won't fix. That is scary to think about, wouldn't you agree?
Some of us fans are die hard and fans for life. But alot of fans want a winner to show up and spend thier hard earned cash, blame the fans all you want but the product on the field the last decade has been crap period. Until that changes the causal fans will keep thier cash and rightfully so. Now start blaming the right people (front office, coaching, owner) for not putting a winner on the field.

+1,000,000,000.

Who the heck is blaming the fans? I've been reading posts on three different forums and they all are blaming the administration.

It was amazing that when the fans got into it, we started getting some more momentum, especially on defense.

I'm loving saving Six ****ing Thousand Dollars.

And to the poster with the Samsung 55 inch LED...I went 65 inch in the same type...This TV is amazing.

A couple extra thousand? Oh, and the 12th man does make a difference. It would be nice to see the 12th man at Dolphins home games actually root for the Dolphins every week. If you don't believe that the 12th man makes a difference then you never saw an Orange Bowl Dolphins game. Even if they do fill the stadium, if half of the fans are rooting for the other team there is no home field advantage.

Right now the Dolphins could have 15 men and they will still suck!

Funny I saw it the other way around.... When the dolphins started making plays the fans got into it.

Great fans can help gain momentum for a team. Watch almost anyother NFL game and most of the time you'll see the 12th man make a difference, especially on defense.

Time to clear the air with some common sense.

Are the fans the reason we lost the game, or any other... absolutely not.
Are the fans part of the losing culture of the Miami Dolphins.... absolutely.

We have a fan base down here that frankly just doesnt give a ****. There are the absolute die hard fans, and then the rest of the POS bandwagoners. Case and point, which i have made over and over again.... The Miami Heat. Ive been a season ticket holder since '91. ive seen the ups and the downs, and ive seen a fan base that even now.. refuses to show up to games on time, or stay until the end of the game, win or lose.

Our city frankly doesnt care enough as a whole. You can come up with whatever excuses you want.... "they are competing with so much more" blah blah blah.
its all bull****. and the sooner everyone wakes up and takes the blinders off, the sooner everyone can evaluate football facts.

The defense did a hell of a job today. Held Houston to a FG after Henne's tipped INT.
Daniel Thomas had a fantastic day in his rookie debut aside from the fumble which ruined an otherwise gutsy and nice run.
Reggie Bush assumed the role of... "what reggies career has thus far looked like"
Dan Carpenter has yet again F--cked us. The blocked FG is not on him, but missing the chip shot was a blow to the groin. And instead of it being a one score game going into half... it seemed a lot worse than it really was.
Brandon Marshall for all his circus catches and beast plays (rolling Jason Allen at will into the endzone) still cant catch the easy ones(a la Pittsburgh game last year). He dropped a beautiful ball from Henne in the endzone which changes the entire game if he just comes down with it.

Bottom Line.. 0-2. Big F**cking deal. Plenty of season left. Start winning and the bandwagon fans will show up, and all will seem well again in South Florida.

This organization does not deserve any fan support.

That is all that needs to be said in this thread. Nothing more or less. This is one of the ****tiest organizations in all of sports, and it's ran horribly. Not a single individual has a clue what they're doing.

Wow blaming the fans. my first season having seasons tickets was marinos last year that stadium was deafing when Dan came out and on third down on defense, but over the years it get quieter and quieter, why? Because we aren’t a very good team and haven’t been one for a while. There isn’t a team who sucked for a decade with home field advantage. Bad teams don’t get home field advantage because people don’t want to waste their money.

Seriously. What is this, 2-17 or something now? PUTRID. Why would anyone slave a 9-5 to withdraw that money and give it over to the 3 dunces and their circus? Dating back to last season, this team is 1-9. And there was a losing streak in 2009 for home games too. Bottom line, waste of money and I'd rather spend it on a glass of bleach to drink during the games.

Definition of Band Wagon Fans.. those who only show up when your team is winning
So, the majority of fans all over the world. Actually, a band wagon fan is one that changes from team to team. Big difference. The average fan (not diehards, which are always in the minority), which are the majority of fans of any team, is what we're talking about here. And no, they won't show up; and no, they couldn't care less if that upsets you.

Time to clear your head with common sense...band wagoners exist everywhere. Not only in Miami. Get over it. Win and people will go. Lose and people won't. Stop bitching about fans.

And yeah I go to Heat games too...when do people leave early? When the Heat are up dominating by 20 points.

No thats not the definition of bandwagon fan at all, google it.

Here's a hint: Miami hasn't had "bandwagon fans" in decades...
