Amazing that some people on this board are still blaming the fans....lol

Just stop. You know as well as I those last couple playoff appearnces (I think) we just limped in anyway. This team has no fire and didn't then. I was at that last Baltimore playoff game though, sat right next to Frank Gore and got a sig. I had season tickets for a while, haven't for a while as well. Don't expect me to re-up anytime soon. I'm in the horrible fan category though it seems. Let's win consistently and see what happens. ****, let's try and be competetive first..

Nobody talks about others team, or maybe no other fans talk about their teams like this. I, as well as many people on here could list a ton of teams with attendance issues. Hell..I saw empty seats at the Jets game! Yes, the Jet's game. Now, maybe it's not as noticeable because the seats are grey/green and blend in better (like how Canes fans blend in well with the orange empty seats) than the Sunkist orange, but they were there. I'm sure NY has a few more people than Miami as well..so..

You seem to be made of money because you keep telling people how to spend theirs. "Support your team", **** that. I have..plenty..as have most people. Just because we don't want to WASTE (yes, waste) hundreds of dollars that could be better spent on something doesn't make people "less fans". Stop blaming the fans. Blame the **** *** organization who can't put a decent product on the field. Blame it on the organization who does a horrible job at marketing this team. Blame it on the players who are getting paid millions and aren't living up to it.

Where were Colts fans before Manning? Pats fans before Brady? Sants before Brees? Umm, San Diego fans aren't all that great. Saw a lot of seats empty at the San Fran game, how bout them Titans? Yeah, get over it. It's everywhere.

The last playoff game we went 11-5, won the division and were the feel good story of the NFL. Biggest Turnaround in the NFL and had Chad Pennington who came in 2nd in MVP voting. Yet we couldn't fill up the stadium.

A lot of empty seats in SF huh??? Why don't you check out this link before you talk

Two home games and they have filled it to 99 percent capacity. I live in that area and although Niner fans aren't the greatest, they have a lot of support in that area and they've been about the same kind of team we've been the last 10 years.

We are at 78% for two games.... How can people defend this???

it all starts at the top
not a roof
not fans
not orange carpets
not celebrities
It all starts with a great Gm on the same page with a great coach
The sparano experiment should come to an end.
Sparano was a good friend to the tuna and that's why he got the position
Sparano was not the most qualified or it would have been rex ryan.
This is another case of who you know not what ya know..
Mr i don't have any answers needs to go..

It is time to throw out the expired tunas trash..

The team ****ing sucks.

Why should we waste our money?

LOL.

We sent out 67,000 for the Hurricanes.

People down here will spend money on GOOD football.

Sorry Tony supporters. Start blaming the coach.

Once again its my fault that Tony loves FG and that Nolan Caroll can't turn around when covering the best receiver in football.

As I have been saying yet people FAIL to listen to is that this problem dates back over a decade. Don't blame poor quarterback play or losing because the 2000 playoff game got blacked out. This was the year after Marino, they won 11 games and won a division championship, and they couldn't sell out the stadium in time to prevent a blackout. Tickets were easy to get that for that game because that was my first Dolphins game in Miami. I was in he Orlando area and after they beat the Pats my Dad decided he wanted to take me down and was surprised to find out we had choices when we called. Was the opposing fan problem a problem back than like it is now? At 16 years old and my first game there I didn't really take notice. But I do remember an obnoxious Colts fan wearing a Harbaugh jersey in my section.

The easiest fix would be if the local fan base got their act together and started supporting their home team. With what I have seen in the stands and the attitude on these boards I don't see that happening anytime soon. Even Buffalo supports their team better than Miami. If you want Jets season tickets, you have to wait years on a waiting list, not the case in Miami. If more fans had season tickets, the opposing fan problem would diminish significantly. No, I am not saying support a bad product on the field, what I am complaining about is that when the team is WINNING, the problems still exist. I keep getting told the Dolphins don't have a problem because they have great attendance numbers. Those numbers are sold tickets, which include the thousands of empty seats that local tv stations buy up and the 15,000-20,000 or so fans rooting for the other team.

Maybe Ross could lower ticket prices, but that would result in more of a total loss for him and he probably wouldn't sell many more tickets. Obviously the most drastic solution would be relocation. If Ross keeps losing money even after he gets the team on a winning path, I am sure it will be an option in the back of his head, especially with a sexy new stadium being built in Los Angeles.

Did the game end up sold out or not? I see articles every year about even teams like Pittsburgh saying its not sold out yet and could be blacked out, but they always end up sold out.

If you Google the words "Miami Hurricanes" and "attendance" there are links to several articles discussing poor attendance at Hurricanes games. I do not keep up with college football. Aren't they usually a pretty good team? Why would they ever have poor attendance?

What about concession sales? Do the invisible people in the stands pay for their share of hot dogs, sodas, or beer?

When last did we have a truly exciting team? You can say 08, but thats one year in the last 11ish years. Get a legit QB and an explosive team and people will come. I dont think we had attendance issues when Marino was in his prime.

The Canes dont have near as big of a fanbase as the Fins. They are a small private school and compete with the Gators, Noles, Knights, Bulls, ect. for fans.

Bleh, I'm not defending it. I live an hour 1/2 from the stadium..I refuse to go. I simply just pointed out some facts. People don't want to waste their money, the team sucks. Say it with me..this team..this organization..it sucks. We haven't done anything remotely good. Yeah..great..Pennington lead us to the playoffs. Anyone with any football knowledge knows we weren't going to do anything unless you were a hopeless optimistic. Have we even done anything in the playoffs the last few times we've been there? I remember getting blown out quite a few times. Why should anyone be excited if we make it..? It's one thing if you steamroll in..it's another when you limp in.

Regarding San Fran..I really didn't pay attention/nor care, but a lot of times I've seen their stadium among other teams just as bad as ours, it's just nobody talks about it or makes a big of a deal as Miami fans. At least San Fran has "something" to be excited about. I remember the Oakland "faithful" not showing up much like they have in past years. It just bothers me when people from out of state try to tell people how to spend their money and question the "fanhood" of people because of it. Yeah, **** those people, and they know who they are. You go waste money on this team for an extended period of time and see if it's fun anymore. I'd rather go on vacation or something.

People want to act like if we show up the team is going to play better. They want to pin it on the fans for whatever reason, because you know..this team has been competetive now for a while and is truely exciting to watch /sarcasm. Yet a day later an article comes out about how the players don't even care.

Why should I?

Did anyone actually watch the Cowboy game? While I was watching the Dallas/ sf game the one thing that stood out to me was that most of the fans in the stands were cowboy’s fans. Like I said early when you put a product that continues to lose year in and year out the fan support becomes no existent for every team.
