ALL PAIN, NO GAIN TRAIN
Its obvious that the big money teams would bennifit from there not being a salary cap. Since there is a dead-lock on the CBA, and everyone is blaming
someone else, lets consider this...
Just between 2 high revenue teams, say Dallas and Washington,
if you were the owners ,would you want a cap?
Hear me out... from the 80's - 90's , Dallas and Washington have SIX
, count 'em SIX Superbowl titles beween them.
Now I know that Dallas won a SB in 96, but the salry cap had not impacted the team yet( cap was est. in 93).
But since then,(96) none of them have even been to a SB.
So, if you are J. Jones, D. Snyder ( and there are more high-profile owners than these two) would you want to be confined by a cap when you know
you can out-spend almost everyone else to build your team?
What are your thoughts?
