An amazing play by LB A. Brooks

i hope we get him... whats everyones opinions on gettin him? do u guys think we will?

That was an impressive play, I think I saw a clip of lavar Arrington doing pretty much the same thing. Get that ANIMAL

I would go as high as a fourth for him, anything higher is a risk for him & his personal issues.

i still feel a third is definately worth it. i dont think i would give anything more.

I remember seeing Lavar Arrington do that at Penn State (they even put it in EA Sports' NCAA Football '06). Very impressive move not just for the athletic reasons but also mentally. He was able to, probably over the course of the game, figure out the QBs count and timed his run and jump at exactly the right time. I think a 4th rounder is as high as Id sacrifice for him thgouh, the draft could be LB heavy next year and we could always get another one then.

I found Arrington's play (look how high he gets!!):

More than likely we will go after a LB first thing in next years draft. I would go ahead and use that pick on Brooks. I would give a 2nd or maybe even a first. Saban has sent him to meet his shrink and we have been in alot of contact with him. If Saban decides to go all out for him I will never critisize him for it because I've seen Brooks many times and have been reading about him before he even commited to UVA in Lundys college and HS football previews. He has as much to offer than any Ray Lewis or any other highly touted Lb from the info I've read and his on feild play.

Those are both great videos. I think that a third round pick is reasonable for Ahmed Brooks. Anything higher and I would be upset. He is a quality player that will make an immediate impact, but I don't want another draft like last year where we had only three picks in the first six rounds. Berryman is in this draft too and for a sixth round pick he can become a pretty good player.

I don't think anyone will be as talented as Brooks in next years draft at the LB position. We need someone in the middle to replace Zach and Saban would probably look for a LB first in next years draft. Brooks is going to be a anchor for a NFL D for many years.
