Fellow phin fans!

In the following list, which two do not fit:
Young
Aikman
Favre
Elway
Elway
Warner
Dilfer
Brady
Johnson
Brady
Brady
Roethlisberger
P. Manning
E. Manning
Roethlisberger
That's the last 15 years of SB winning QBs... the list is glaring in its consistency: the common denominator of winning big in this league is the person behind center -- if you have a franchise QB you have the odds slanted in your favor. The statistics are crazy slanted in this regard: 13 out of 15 last SBs are arguably the creme de la creme of the QB world.

Now, the big question is this: do the Phins have a franchise QB under center?

And if not, are they good enough in all other phases of the game to cover up for the QB lack?

This is why I believe you sell everything, you draft and deal with abandon until you find the franchise QB.

Do we or don't we have this? I guess we'll find out. But let's not pretend it doesn't matter...

So where are you going with this?

The IQ thing was a sneak attack on my brain. :ponder:

I see where OP is going with this, and I totally agree. We should have drafted Aaron Rodgers instead of Ronnie Brown. :chuckle:

Oddly the 2 guys highlighted are the only 2 guys that weren't on their original team, what were you trying to say again...

R U saying Roethlisberger was an elite QB when he one his first one?

Well according to our FO (and Rex Ryan apparently), Henne graded out as good as Ryan and Flacco, so do you consider them franchise QB's? I am guessing you are saying yes in your mind right now. Well if that's the case then YES, we have a franchise QB in the making.

I'd hardly say that Eli looked like a franchise QB when he won his SB. If he wasn't the #1 overall pick and Peyton's brother, he probably would have been benched midseason, though he did step up in the playoffs.

Furthermore, 7 of those 15 rings were won by QBs that were either not with their original team, weren't prototypical franchise QBs, or weren't first round picks. Besides no one has said that we can just plug in any benchwarmer off the streets and win. Your entire point is utterly flawed and pointless.

Favre played for the Falcons, and Elways was drafted by the Colts but traded to the Broncos after he refused to play for the Colts. Same with Manning drafted by the Charges but traded to the Giants.

not true. Favre
Elway, and technically
E. Manning weren't on thier original teams.

lol, this is not about who is with the original team, necessarily. Nor about how long it took people to realize that the man behind center was well above average in synapses and skill and throwing ability.

It is what is is: regardless of whether or not ppl want to accept a high caliber QB for that before it became apparent and 'conventional wisdom.'

QBs matter.

And yes, a curve with the IQ test part! Just to get the ole' brains in gear, lol.
