I want to take a moment to officially thank Brett Favre. Mr. Favre, without you, we could still be suffering through an inoperative offense without any sense of leadership. Without you, we might all be jeering instead of cheering. Without you and your sheer will to play the game you love (or iron will to not know how to quit on top of your game), we might only have one Chad instead of two.

We may not have a QB that truly seems to know the game, even if he doesn't know all of the offensive playbook. We might have players doubting if their leader will get rid of the ball in time, instead of praising him for "the little things" he bring to the huddle.

And we may be wondering how long it would be before we get our first win, instead of seriously considering that you might be our first victim.

Yes, Brett, you truly bring greatness to the field. I understand how all of Green Bay felt each time you walked on the field with 2 minutes left to play. You gave them hope.

In this case, you've even given it to Miami, and a long-time fan like me.

Good luck, Brett - for one more week.

I don't want to go over board on Pennington. But he does look REALLY good. Not just accurate passes with touch, but mobile too. I never remember Pennington being that mobile. If there IS an organization stupid enough that they could end up giving a good QB to their arch-rival on a silver platter it's definitely the Jets. We'll have to wait and see though.

Great post, man. Truer words were never spoken.

Let's not get too excited too early about Pennington, as we have to see how he looks come pre season. But he has looked good and it is very encouraging. But I wonder how many fin fans were calling him noodle arm or how he sucks, that are now giving him praise. Don't get me wrong, I didn't think he was great after last season and coming off his injury, but I didn't think he sucked as well. I was happy Miami got him for free, because I know he still had leadership ability and could possibly bounce back as shoulder injuries can take 2 years to fully recover, and I saw him as a wild card, that at the very least couldn't have hurt.

I was all for Pennington when the rumors started, but I expected him to play terrible in the preseason. After all, he knows very little of the playbook and hasn't developed chemistry with the wide receivers and Satele. But, when you look at how the first team moved against Tampa, and how it moves now, you can only point to one person for our success.

Thanks Brett!

Hey Dolphin Fans,

I know you guys are really pumped after your win over the mighty Chiefs. As Miami fans, you should be thrilled to have a very good QB and all around good guy as your leader. Chad is a class act and should be good for the Dolphins until their transition to Chad #2 is complete.

Can't wait to see ya'll on Sept 7th.

Go Deep,

Brett Favre

a huge infusion of intelligence and leadership, thanks Brett(i'll send you some Vicodin)

Thanks Brett Favre. I just watched Something About Mary again, best thing I've seen you in.

Also, Did you sleep with Cameron Diaz?

You're all very welcome, glad to be of service.

Now, I expect ya'll to give Pennyboy some respect. No threads about how he sucks if he doesn't beat my team.

Pennington has been doing everything and I mean everything to become a good QB again. The guys has trained all offseason and is leading this team very well. He stays after practices to build a connection between him and his WR.

Look opening day is gonna be great, and I feel confident with a healthy Ricky, Penington and a Emerging Defense. The JETS Defense has not been good and can become their achiles heel.

Ummm, they had eight (8) sacks against the Superbowl Champs and held the first string offense to zero (0) points. But it's just preseason, so I'll hold off on the "Kris Jenkins and Calvin Pace are beasts" comments. I'll also hold off on the "Kerry Rhodes, Darelle Revis, and David Harris will go to the pro bowl" statements

Should be an exciting game between the Jets and Dolphins. :d-day:

Why are most JET fans closet Dolphin fans. The day I go to a Jets website, hell will freeze over. If your a JEts fan why come here after we whooped ***. To me that tells me your a Dolfan in the closet. Don t you guys get it by now that this is a Dolphin website, not a Jets site.

2008 is going to be a big year for the Miami Dolphins an Chad Pennington is going to be a big part of the reason why! :)

He's been a winner since 1995 at Marshall and this Brett Favre thing has brought him to Miami. I'm seeing a Dolphin resurgence this season, baby!
