I want to take a moment to officially thank Brett Favre. Mr. Favre, without you, we could still be suffering through an inoperative offense without any sense of leadership. Without you, we might all be jeering instead of cheering. Without you and your sheer will to play the game you love (or iron will to not know how to quit on top of your game), we might only have one Chad instead of two.
We may not have a QB that truly seems to know the game, even if he doesn't know all of the offensive playbook. We might have players doubting if their leader will get rid of the ball in time, instead of praising him for "the little things" he bring to the huddle.
And we may be wondering how long it would be before we get our first win, instead of seriously considering that you might be our first victim.
Yes, Brett, you truly bring greatness to the field. I understand how all of Green Bay felt each time you walked on the field with 2 minutes left to play. You gave them hope.
In this case, you've even given it to Miami, and a long-time fan like me.
Good luck, Brett - for one more week.
