  • Question 1 - If you had to predict - among our Miami Dolphins - which player will have the best production in contested/time-share positions? (WR/RB/TE) Who gets the better #'s?
  • Question 2 - If you had to predict - which player will be the BEST (of Miami Dolphins) when comparing to ALL OTHER players at their specific position?
  • Question 3 - If you had to predict - where will each skill-position player on the dolphins, as well as our defense, be ranked by seasons end with the rest of the league?
  • Question 4 - What do you think about our defenses ability to TURN OVER the ball and potentially score? Do you see our system as more of a wall or a turn-over machine?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
QB - Ryan Tannehill

RB - Jay Ajayi, Arian Foster, Kenyan Drake

WR - Jarvis Landry, Devante Parker, Kenny Stills, Leante Caroo

TE - Jordan Cameron, Dion Sims

Miami Dolphins DEF
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As for me:

Question 1: RB - Jay Ajayi, WR - Devante Parker, TE - Jordan Cameron

Analysis: RB was a tough one for me. I'm just not sure how its going to play out. I predict that Ajayi will be the better yardage back. But with Foster serving the role we expect him to....might he also be taking the bulk of the goalline carries? If so...I might have to reconsider my choice...as I expect us to have a great deal more redzone conversions this year with the tall weapons of Parker/Cameron/Caroo...defenses are going to play the pass more than they used to on us. I don't know how you guys feel about WR, but IMO Devante Parker is going to be BEAST. I mean...just look at his highlight video again. This guy did it in college, and he did it for us...coming back from an injury and ill-prepared...he has LIT IT UP on both occasions. Imagine if he improves on last years performance? With Gase's system, I fully expect him to serve the role of Demariyus Thomas. With TE I think its a no brainer here...Cameron is the choice barring injury...but is he going to be just decent or GREAT???

Question 2: TE - Jordan Cameron

Analysis: Yes. You heard me right...I'm going out on a limb here, and say that Jordan Cameron is going to return to form as he was in Cleveland and actually significantly IMPROVE on those numbers in Gase's system. Gase loves his TE. I think Cameron has the potential to be the best among all others at HIS POSITION. Will he be #1? No...but I expect him to be a top10 for sure, possibly top 5. Can we say that about any other position on this team? Perhaps...but I feel Cam could be top5 so I'm going with him.

Question 3: Defense?

Analysis: This year ...I'm just not sure what to make of us...if our D-Line does what its supposed to do...we should see some big sack numbers...but what about INT's, fumbles, TD's, etc.? Our LB's and secondary are big questions....and we have ego's. We could be nasty...but will that convert to scoring or not?

Rankings by TOP player @ each position in total points scored by season end: *Please note that if you answered #2 - this should be reflected here.

QB - Tannehill - #8 among all QB's
RB - Ajayi - #20 among all RB's (I used Cincy's 2015 duo as a basis for this prediction)
WR - Parker - #11 among all WR's
TE - Cameron - #5 among all TE's (breakout)
Miami DEF - #14 among DEF's

Overall, I see QB/WR/TE all having a very good shot at being top's in the NFL if Gase's magic really does work and our line holds up. I think we spread the ball around too much though for our WR's to crack the top10...I think Parker JUST misses it. So I think QB/TE are the candidates for the Dolphins to be among the TOP's in the NFL....*knock on wood*

EDIT: *Dear Mods - since one of you moved my original post (that I spent over an hour on) to the DEADZONE that is "Fantasy Football" ...and essentially forced me to re-articulate everything I had written and exclude the words "fantasy" - you think you can do me a favor and make my poll MULTIPLE choice? I made a mistake. Thanks

I'd say your best chances for top 10 are qb and wr...but if I had to pick one unit I'd pick wr cause I expect dvps numbers to explode

I believe our best unit will obviously be D-line, but don't think defense as a whole will be top 10 with so many questions.

Of the options up there, I think QB will eventually be top 10, but because of learning a new offense, it will slightly effect Tannehill enough where top 10 this year will be tough (He could be top 10 in the 2nd half of the season), but WR is so loaded with talented and explosive players, it has to be thought of as the far and away best unit to reach top 10.

Agreed, but I suspect the entire team will play better in the last 8 games. It will be interesting to see where the team units rank when excluding the 1st 8.

QB needs to stay on his feet to throw, WR's need the ball more than 5 yds deep. Those positions are a wash at the moment. RB is still unknown as to who will get the most carries, so that's out. TE and K, meh..
So that leaves defense. Maxwell, Jones and the db's will bring experience and youth to the secondary. Alonso will give a much needed spark into the LBers. Wake, Suh, and Mario will show their experience and aggressiveness in being a top 5 def against the run, and top 5 in sacks.

QB and WR go hand in hand somewhat. I like the WR position to put up big numbers this year. The D could be much better than people think.

I don't get it. Nobody else thinks Jordan Cameron can KILL IT in Gase's offense? I believe he could be as good or better than JT. Look what JT did in Jax!? Cameron was getting double teamed in Cleveland and still killing it....he just wasnt utilized in our system last year well at all. This yer I think he explodes. 700 yards and 7 TDs is definitely possible. That would be top10 in the NFL. If Gase uses him like he did his TE in DEN though....he could be in the double digits. I could see him and Parker both if our offense does what it is supposed to do.

Nobody else agree with me?

Nobody has anything to say on Jordan Cameon? Come on guys.

I will bump this thread after the season and say "I told you so" if he goes off and kills it this year as I predict.

Cameron has had one good season as a pro. The rest have been below average.
