Hey guys,

What a great game! What a pleasant surprise! Overall, I am ecstatic. Great, efficient game. In any case, two things that we really have to work on are:

1) Run Blocking: What do you guys think was behind our mediocre/poor run attack? Note, Ronnie Brown made the catches when they counted, but when compared to pass blocking, our run blocking was not stellar.

2) What happened to Chambers? Was it good coverage? He became a somewhat non-factor in the 2nd half.

3) Penalties! It was our first game, and we somehow overcame them anyways, but this is something Saban will not look kindly on.

In anycase, thoughts, comments?

This was a great start to the Saban era, and after today's performance, I see no reason why we cannot contend for a wild-card spot and sneak into the playoffs.

Agreed with the needs for improvement. I actually think we started to clean up the penalties in the second half of the game. I would really have hated to hear what was said in the locker room. As another poster replied on a seperate thread, our run blocking should improve if we were to get rid of Seth McKinney. I do not want to bash him after such a great victory, but really believe he is not strong enough or explosive off the ball to get the job done.

I think they tried to lock him down after half time and do everything to stop him form going deep, but by doing that it opened the door for Booker, and Welker./
