Analysis: Tyreek Hill-infused Miami Dolphins poised to be NFL's Cinderella team in 2022

If our defense can play up to par with last season, we can be very dangerous
We did literally nothing directly to improve the defense this year. We're going to be playing what looks to be better offenses/quarterbacks this year.

However, we've hopefully indirectly helped the D by upgrading the O.

Holland and Phillips will have a year under their belts, as well as the 2nd year guys like Raekwon Davis and Brandon Jones.

Improving time of possession should help the D a lot. I still am hoping for a better middle LB.

I also believe Miami will be better than New England. But a wildcard might be their max unless Buffalo has some significant injuries.

Wrong

1) We increased the size of the Defensive coaching staff creating more coaching categories and assigning more assistant coaches.
2) We maintained as many of the previous years coaching staff that we could.
3) Signed 3 LB's and one or two DE's
4) I anticipate our draft will have a majority of our picks at defensive positions.

Whom did we sign? I know we re-signed some guys that were already on the team, but if we signed any new players on D, I missed it.

I think we signed a Cb. We brought back a couple of Lber's and resigned Ogbah ... that may be it so far but the biggest help on the defense will be if the offense can stay ahead of the sticks and, of course, score.

on D outside of bringing back our own guys, we signed 4 additional players. DE Daeshon Hall, CB's Quincy Wilson, D"Angelo Ross and Kieon Crossen

You aren't wrong, but I would point out that guys like Holland and Phillips having a year of experience, and NFL level offseason training could potentially be a decent upgrade.

I also agree that having a better offense will automatically make the defense better, particularly late in games. Inside LB is still a concern, but I don't know what we can realistically do about that at the moment.
