Although some change is inevitable in the NFL, another rocky season of mediocrity in Miami is paving the way for what could be a house-cleaning. Owner Stephen Ross has refrained from talking to the media all season, so while it can’t be certain where his emotions lie, the list of those with job security on the football side is short and shrinking by the week.

This Sunday, in other words, isn’t just the home finale against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but also the final time many will appear at Hard Rock Stadium in aqua and orange. That applies to players. It likely applies to coaches. And possibly to those in the front office.

I don’t see Drake being moved. That one felt like a reach.

The high priced veterans are all squarely on the chopping block. It will take a big finish or a lot of dead cap to keep them. Dead cap is the reason I think Jones and possibly McDonald are safe. But ZERO of our DE's are safe, with Quinn and Wake clearly not living up to their paychecks, and both Harris and Branch looking like busts. In the offseason this defense will get an overhaul, and if we're considering switching systems (e.g. to a 34 of any type), well this would be the offseason to do it. I'll be surprised if we don't have a new DC next year, and Ross is not going to allow it to be Vance Joseph, available or not.

Good article. The thing that hiit me the most is this-

"Before facing the Broncos last season, Gase said Joseph “just did a great job preparing his guys.” Gase added, “Our guys loved him and he held those guys accountable.”

This is why I think Gase goes after him if Vance is let go. Gase doesn't like new, or unfamiliar. He likes what he knows, and he will say that the players are already familiar with the wide 9. If that sounds familiar, then it is due to the guys he brought in with a familiarity of his offensive system.

Better watch out if Vance Joseph gets pinked the Monday after the season ends

Cam Wake Devante Parker Andre Branch Kiko Alonso.

For some reason there's a mystique attached to Joseph that has nothing to do with reality. Over-rated as our DC and now as Denver's HC, I'm sure he talks a good game but in the end "Money talks and bullshit walks." Hell, he even let Wade Phillips, the best DC in the league leave. So much for his defensive "expertise."

Please just say no!!
