Pretty funny to see where these guys from NFL.com see the Dolphins finishing record-wise
(hint: they have no idea)

Watching this in its entirety, for the most part, they were in the same ballpark for most teams.

However, with the Dolphins, the 5 analysts were all over the place:

5-11, 7-9, 10-6, 6-10, 5-11

Pretty crazy. It's going to be an interesting season

so one with a winning record and everyone else has us as bad as last year.....hmmm

I also see 6 wins. Perhaps a couple more if the schedule turns out to be as weak as it looks.

They weren't really all over the place. One outlier at 10-6 the rest predicts us to have a 5-7 win season. Not really much of a difference between 5 and 7.

My guess is 8-8.

Yeah, not to mention, a better looking OL, some DE help in Quinn and Hayes opposite Wake, and Fitzpatrick/X who should both beast. It's gonna come down to LB play which terrifies much of us

That’s not how football works.

The 2008 Patriots went 11-5 with Matt Cassell, and went 10-6 the following season with Tom Brady back.

Every season is its own.

Totally agree!

I’m not following the negativity. I get Suh is a loss but their run D was bad with him. I see a lot of positives. Barring bad injuries, I can see 10-6.

A few thoughts on why:

Offense:

- RT17 is back and it’s a huge upgrade. He was cooking in this offense before his injury. He’s had more time to get comfortable with it and should be even better.
- The O-line is going to pass protect well.
- Drake. Third year now. This kid is explosively talented.
- overall weapons. Miami has a lot of skill sets on offense now even with Jarvis gone. I’m exstatic about Gisieki in the red zone. I love all the mismatch opportunities with Wilson and Grant etc.

Defense:

- Pass rushers. We have many and Quinn and Wake on the edges will be fun.
- covering tight ends and backs. Minka and Baker should help this issue a lot.
- Howard at CB. Third year. Really finished strong last year and like Drake on offense is poised to take the next step.
- depth at DB to play more dime. They should be better at third and long D. Especially with those pass rushers.
- Vincent Taylor. DT is a concern position but I love this kid. Key position this year for sure.

Miami has drafted well the last few years and if the development continues I think this can be a really fun year.

Gase did not play to win against Buffalo at home. last year he used that game for evaluations and a higher draft pick imo. So I say last years record was more of a 7 9 with lots of issues.
No issues like that and RT stays healthy I expect a 10 6.
