Since the rumors are running rampant about the Dolphins being sold, I would like to go back to a quote a few days ago said by Nick Saban.

"I, in no way wanted to indicate to him or anybody else that there was any possibility of that. I have no intentions of going anywhere. Hell, they might not want me here after this season. Did you ever think of that?" Saban said.

Who is "THEY" that Saban is referring to? Could it possibly be the new owners?

This is just something to think about.

It does make more sense in view of the rumor that the team is up for sale especially since he referred to the ownership as they.

However I think we should be cautious in making any assumptions based on rumor.

BTW Welcome to Finheaven :D

Or it may be that Saban was simply referring to the organization collectively. It's a pretty common way to turn a phrase, actually.

I totally agree with this. I don't think Saban was referring to anyone specific. "They" is commonly used to refer to "others", whomever they may be.

I don't think Our owner would have spent as much money as he did to make the Staduim as superb as it is. All this Cash he spent rebuilding the Stadium for the SB doesn't match up with selling it all again. Wayne likes Saban to much to give up on him.

PFT is reporting that the Dolphins might be sold.

Wow. Thanks for the link. Unbelievable. I had pretty much stopped reading PFT because after spending an hour on the Herald and another here, my free time is pretty much spent up. Looks like I have to go back to PFT.

Wayne is currently putting millions upon millions of dollars into Phinz stadium as we speak. And now he's going to sell the team all of a sudden???....

They call it a "rumor mill" for a reason.....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

I personally hope this is a rumor just like everyone else but. . .

I don't know how it goes for mega-millionaires and pro sports teams but if I try to sell a house, the first thing I do is fix it up. That just makes it more valuable. Wouldn't fixing up a new stadium make the team more valuable?

Don't waste your time. PFT is a tabloid. All they do is make stories up and say that they got their information from an "inside source"

I'm beginning to think the Dolphins have been shipped to the set of "LOST".

Too much thinking going on here. Damn rumors

That's what I thought when I first read it. Why would Wayne sell the team when he's already throwing a pretty penny into renovating the stadium out of his personal cash?

The dolphins wont be sold until Mrs. Huizenga says so.

Agreed completely.

The "they" conspiracy is reaching quite a bit.
