Anyone PO'ed about this? It's like even in defeat he's more important than the team that beat him and eliminated him and his team. Come on, ESPN what about us? What a bunch of clueless idiots!

God, let's all hope his retirement "takes" this next time!

final stats for 2008:

CHAD PENNINGTON: 321/476 (67.4%) 3,653 YDS 19 TDs, 7 INTs
BRETT FAVRE: 343/522 (65.7%) 3,472 YDS 22 TDs, 22 INTs

Yeah Brett, you're the probowler! LOL!

I hope it continues.....the saga that is....and they keep mangenius!:sidelol:It will happen! The washed up talk is just that....talk. He will be signing up for another season. Dude is unreal.

I'm not surprised ESPN hasn't given this win full attention but I don't really give a ****. Today is our day and no one can do anything to make it any different

from a graphic object of ridicule, I would miss him, like I'm sure Leno and Letterman will be missing the present administration.

What got to me is when the Phins are on an offensive drive and Sims and Nance are doing nothing but talking about Favre. Then they cut to the Merling interception and are praising how hard he tried to tackle him and how he hurt his poor shoulder. Favre is DONE period why cant the sports media get over it? If I wanted to watch a fake drama I would watch Days Of Our Lives not NFL football.

I think the announcers were more biased towards us today actually. It was actually nice for a change

this column, although by a partisan Cheatriot writer nails it when it comes to Favre:

But if you had faith in Favre against the Dolphins, then you are someone who just listens to John Madden, Chris Berman and Phil Simms without actually watching the games they cover. Those who have used their eyes, and not their ears, to observe Favre the last 10 years, know that Sunday was not the kind of situation he thrives in. Those more concerned with facts than myths realized that Favre has failed in situations like Sunday's much more than he's succeeded.

Favre finished the day with three interceptions and a 45.1 rating. I honestly thought it could have been worse.
But hey, his arm hurts. He's a warrior. A gunslinger. He has fun. He represents all that is good about the game. Simms is still going on about it, as I'm sure Berman and Madden will for the next six months while Favre yanks everyone's chain regarding his future. I can guarantee you we'll barely hear a word about how Favre played down the stretch (two touchdowns, nine interceptions over final five games).

I wish everyone would back off of Favre. No matter what you say, he is a GREAT QB. He has started 269 straight games and broke all of Marino's career records. Oh, by the way, he also won a Super Bowl.

Of course the media is going to talk about him. After the Jags destroyed the Dolphins that year, all they talked about is Marino and Jimmy Johnson if I remember right.

Come on, just show him the respect he deserves! I am as big a Dolphin fan as anyone here on this board but I am also a football fan and I don't see how anyone can be a football fan and not respect Favre!

Actually, he was a great QB. A great player also knows when to hang up the jersey and retire. After the 4 years of "should I retire" drama he put GB through, and how he acted when he decided he should not have retired, is why football fans have a problem with Favre. He used up all the respect he earned over the years with this BS he has been pulling.

Couldn't have said it better myself. People are simply getting tired of Favre. And the "Me, Myself, and I" **** that Favre keeps pulling off is why people are losing respect for this guy. You had a great career, now just ****ing retire already...

Chris Berman hates the Dolphins.. who the hell cares about him anyway.. He LOVES the BILLS (nobody circles the wagon like the Bills) Yeah right..

let everybody keep overlooking the fish
