And the final playoff spot goes to.........

So.. We beat the bengals, colts.. Should of beat the ravens, bills, pats, bucs, and panthers. This team is better than the jets, bills and sorry ass steelers. We match up extremely well with the steelers. This team should end the season 9-7. If we lose this week then we are done... Lets just win this week
 
That loss last week was kind of numbing to me to be honest. I would like them to make it to see what happens but im just not seeing it.

I will root until we are eliminated officially which is what most should do, instead of rooting for us to fail so a GM and coach get fired.

We will find out how much fight this team has left after all the crap they have been through.

3 of the 5 are against the potential #6 seed. let's see if they want it
 
The last possession games the fins love to be in are about 50/50 so I say 3-3 at best regardless of the opponent. We can't score enough to consider any of these games wins. Even if we dominate the other team will always be able to hang around and steal it at the end.

Haven't seen too much over the last few weeks that makes me think this team can close a game on the road. Sundays game scares the **** out of me..I can't sto thinking about all the game we 'should' have won...just one of those and we have a firm grasp on a playoff spot. Such a shame, a win this past week would have changed the media narrative as well since the panthers were the team of the week after beating the patriots. I hate mike Sherman.

I agree, they've hung with and beaten some if the better teams in the conference/ league. I would not be one but intimidated by going into Indy (to face Christ himself) or Cincy in a 1st round matchup. Would I guarantee a win, no way but is give us a chance in both games.

In our 5 games there are 4 a playoff team should win. Fins need to go for broke on offense, score 24-27 and keep TOP close and I'll bet on this defense to close.

I've been waiting for this team to wake up all season. I feel like its nothing more than blind hope to expect that it this point after witnessing 4 games they let slip away (Buffalo/NE/TB/Carolina) due to poor coaching and preparation... They are suddenly going to become a well-coached, prepared squad over night? I find it hard to believe that they will win 2 out of 3 against the Patriots/Steelers/Bills.
 
Can the Phins make the playoffs? Sure. I just get that sinking feeling that we end up 7-9. The TB, Bills, and Carolina games killed us. At Jets, at Steelers, at Bills, all cold weather games, will be very tough. Pats, who are always tough, will be trying to get into one of the top two playoff spots to earn the first round bye. The only game I can see us definitely winning is the last game at home against the Jets. Could be a meaningless game for both teams by then. I guess I am a Debbie Downer.

You're not a debbie downer by any means, just a realist. I do agree we blew too many games and in all likelihood will miss the playoffs. I'm still holding out hope though since we're still not eliminated yet
 
By playing with the yahoo calculator 9-7 will likely do it meaning if we beat everyone but the Pats we will have a good shot. All teams have tough schedules down the stretch. I just can;t see us only losing one more game with the style of ball we play. The margin for error is tiny, I see 7-9 or 8-8.
 
Take care of business this week against the jets then hopefully the Steelers beat Ravens and if we beat Steelers will be looking real good. These next two weeks are huge!
 
One game at a time. I can't help but to think ahead concerning the wild card spot. I know we haven't won some of the games we should have but all I'm saying is we do have a chance. It's on us. If we don't then it's our fault. And it won't be because of the past games. It will be because of the Jets, Steelers, And Bills. Beat them and we will be in. A playoff team should win those games and if we don't then we don't deserve the playoffs
