I had thought and hoped, Miami would select Peter Konz, due to the interior need and Pouncey's snapping issues. But Martin was once being projected as top 15 pick and started to slide within the last few months. He is a 1st round talent and a great insurance policy if Long continues with injuries and possibly prices himself out of returning to Miami next season as a F/A. I Really want to hate the pick, but understand the Value and am all for it. I think Ireland is proving himself as a solid talent evaluator and making all the right and smart choices. Martin fit's WCO system and will make a great Bookend to Long. Omar Kelly knows something is up with the o-line, wish he'd share his reason for his statement about needing to draft a LT!!!

You couldn't be more wrong if you had to be.
 
And... I do believe that the Jets got a WR that fits with their acquisition of Tebow and First Pump. Hill will work perfectly in a wildcat hybrid with Tebow. Hate the Jets, but they drafted perfectly into their system.
 
Kiper made it sound like Martin might not be able to switch from LT to RT. No one ever seems to say anything good about anyone we draft so it's not surprising. Is it that big a deal? It seems it would be tougher to make the transition from right to left tackle than the other way around, doesn't it?
 
maybe next year will be our year to select playmakers.its not turning out that way this year
 
I expect Marvin McNutt WR, IOWA to be one of our picks. He was a WR that our FO had a lot of contact with in the off season. He is a prototypical west coast reciever.
 
I like the pick. We need to make sure our line is solid. Colombo cost us games. Now we might have one of the best lines in the league. With two cracks in the third, I think this is a smart pick. I'm hoping for Criner in Round 3, reminds me A LOT of Marshall.
 
dont hate the pick. Mike Pouncey was considered weak when he was drafted and had to build up strength. He should be stronger this year after he got overwhelmed by big strong NT's last season. It will be the same for Martin, he will get stronger next year in 2013 with the training program. You cannot teach great feet, and that is very important for the zone blocking scheme Miami will be running for the O-line
 
wow... Alshon Jeffery paired with Brandon Marshall. When they both have their heads in the game... I don't think their is a CB tandem that can handle them. Yikes. But BOTH have baggage... good luck with those head cases!
 
Massie is a huge plodder....Philbin said he wants athletic lineman and Martin played a WCO at Standford

This^^^^ Hill is NOT a prototypical WCO WR. Look at the WR's Green Bay has, and where they drafted them. You need smart guys who are good route runners (Hartline will flourish), and there are plenty of WR's that fit that description that will be available in the 3rd. Martin is GREAT value, and finally O-line is going to be a strength.
