I like the pick. Great value at a much needed position. Round 3 needs to be DE and WR.

Long can make the switch if Martin proves himself. But I believe Martin will eventually play RT and play at a high level.
 
we can't get every single position taken care of with 2 picks........again, I'm not the biggest Ireland fan but this is a good pick.......very good LT that can play RT but if Long wants too much money then we have a LT and would get a RT next year in round 2 or 3 which is the way to go now a days in the NFL.....yes, I wanted a pass rusher or WR but we still have picks so we'll see what happens.

Now, I agree that they will have to pick it up but in their defense our Scheme last year, ESPECIALLY in the red zone was horrible... We will go WR in the third for sure...
 
good pick if Randle wasnt there but he was and this was another "safe" pick from our front office. Nice player and fills a need but like mentioned before they dont put points on the board and thats want we need. We need a WR and i hope we draft 2 of them in the thrid. Would hate to see hartline and bess as our starters.
 
It's a good pick. As good as taking Hill? I don't know, I wanted Hill (the jests taking him makes me sick) but Martin is a quality player who fills a need and fits in very well with our zone blocking scheme. IF we'd taken almost anyone else I'd be a lot more pissed at passing on Hill.
