The Browns extended restricted free agent Derek Anderson the first- and third-round ($2.562 million) tender.
Anderson's camp held out for a six-year deal and Tony Romo dollars, but that was never going to happen. He probably should've taken the Browns' three-year, $20 million proposal. There's still time to work out a deal, but Anderson is expected to receive a good amount of interest on the restricted free agent market. ESPN's John Clayton believes some teams will be willing to give up first- and third-round picks to sign him.
