On his expectations moving forward- “I’m my biggest critic. I’m working just like I’m a rookie. I don’t want to let any of my teammates down.”
On Jordan Phillips- “He’s working with [Ndamukong] Suh in Portland. You’ll see a totally different guy.”

Words are fun but show me.... especially about Phillips.

Had a chance to listen to him on the Big O show today. Seems like a real cool dude and well spoken. Authentic in the way he speaks about Gase and his brothers in the lockerroom. Good sense of humor.

You just get the feeling that Gase puts heavy emphasis on these traits in his football players and why such a priority has been made to his guys inhouse. With the injuries we had that was not a 10-6 football team from a talent standpoint . . . It took strong intangibles to get them to that point and Gase is trying his best to keep this core group together.

Suh working with Philips in his hometown. Good to hear Phillips isn't taking the off-season lightly. Love the culture of this team. Welcome to the NEW Miami!

Hoping that turns out to be beneficial.

Branch has a great attitude. Would be great if he could step up another notch this season.

Phillips worked out with Suh last off season as well. This is not "new".

Hoping Branch is one of those guys that explodes AFTER they get paid. He was solid last year, but for $9 million a year he should be better than solid.

#NewMiami

Times have changed...to everyone who is still a doubter:

Good luck.

(See below)

he better get double digit sacks that's what kinda money he got

It should have been the other way around. He should have been better than solid to get 9 mill a year

Ozzy rules!!

Best and most important part of that article is Jordan Phillips working with Suh. That's Bob Marley caliber music to my ears.

Branch was a pretty good rotational rusher for us last year and should have been paid accordingly. 9 Mil a year is crazy for a JAG like him and that money should have gone to a top flight guard... Maybe Leary just didn't want to come here, who knows, but he got 9.5 mil per for God's sake and he would have solidified the o line in a huge way.
Whatever. For his salary, I'll be disappointed with anything less than 8 sacks, middle of the pack in pressures, and he can't be a disaster against the run either.

Hope Phillips is learning how to plug holes and win the one-on-one battles rather than the "art of contract negotiations". :brewskis:
