Reserve CB Andre Goodman is expected to sign with the Dolphins.

whaaat?? wtf is this about....why sign a guy who wont start??? we need someone who can START at CB
 
very good signing, he is a hell of a lot better than Howard, Jackson, Thomas were.

I think it is clear Saban expects Poole to start opposite Daniels.

Daniels is a year smarter. You have no faith in Poole?
 
And dont forget Howard was supposed to start but he didnt even give us depth really did he?
 
i like pool but we need another potential starter incase he goes down again like hes done the last 2 or 3 years

God knows INT's are the only reason we have corners, right? :rolleyes:

Jeez, first of all interceptions are overrated statistics for corners. A guy might have ten picks because he jumps all the underneath routes but what about all the time he misses the ball and the receiver takes it for a TD? Ten picks gets you into the pro bowl but being over aggressive might not even get your team a win.
Not to mention Poole was a rookie that played in nickel and dime packages. We had the #1 pass defense in the league that year and one of the worst run defenses, how often do you have a nickel or dime guy in when teams know they can just run up the middle and get a first down?

Thats why we should draft Jimmy Williams or Antonio Cromartie.

We have two starters on the roster in Daniels and Poole,
Poole was lobbying to come back last year but they held him out for the '06 season.
Many felt poole was the steal of the '04 draft!!
In Saban's scheme, you gotta have strong nickel guys. You guys need to relax when it comes to CB's, there is also a VERY deep class in this years draft as well!!!!!
