Andre Gurode

Not young but not old, it seems to be a money issue in Dallas and they are hoping to trade him thus they are keeping him from playing and getting hurt.

We can't afford to miss on him. He's not injury prone enough. For example, refer to the Jake Grove/ Jason Brown saga. This move would make sense because we could put Pouncey at LG where he belongs and hopefully he could learn from Gurode. The exact same argument could be made for O'Hara.
 
They won't do this simply because it forces them to move Pouncey to G and admit they took a G with their first round pick. IMHO they're more likely to sign O'Hara and get him to play G. Getting Gurode would be a season-saving type of move, but I wonder what it would cost in terms of picks. Probably 4th rounder. Which considering there's a good chance they put in a 4th to get Pryor, I wouldn't be opposed at all.
 
There is on thing certain outside of Long and maybe Incognito this line is ****ting the bed this pre-season. I thought it would be a strength heading into the year but after watching and reading about the games that clearly isn't the case. Colombo needs a boot in his ***, Carey is no guard and the rest are revolving doors at this point. I will give the youngster a break for right now because he needs time to learn and grow especially with a short off season.

At this point sign anyone who can run block..
 
Gurode is vastly overated...Miami's drafts have been killing us for about 20 years...If im not mistaken Gurode is getting unseated by a 7th rd pick

Pouncey belongs at Center. he is solid there... Gurode can play g or bring someone else in.
 
If we cut some of the garbage we have on the o-line we can afford Gurode. If O'Hara passes the physical we need to sign him also. As usual we have made some very bad o-line mistakes so far. Colombo, Jerry, Murtha(Mr. 3 penalties per game) all have to go and be replaced IMO. CAREY IS A RT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This Coach has got to stop dicking around with the O-L.
 
I would be very happy to bring in gurode & Ohara. They can both start, get spelled every now & then by garner and murtha. Jerry is in his last chance, richie ic is ok as is long and pouncey. Have Carey in the mix and the o line looks much better
 
Re-sign P.Solai, cut Colombo, cut V.Carey....there are plenty of ways to get some room for A.Gurode. Trade for him so that you make sure you get him, a 5th to solve our problems sounds good.
