Franks doesn't get a lot of attempts but I always feel uneasy when he comes out for a FG. Should miami be looking for a replacement next year?

We should try to get that kid in Philly. I heard he's hitting 93% this season 12 of 13. I think his name is Sturgis?

Think we should cut him now and sign Robbie Gold

The fact that he went to RPI, a tiny college 5 minutes away from me and I didn't even know they had a football team, makes me want him on my favorite NFL team. The fact I'm a Dolphins fan makes me want a new kicker

His mechanics are flawed, as I posted when we kept him. It's a bit rushed and over the top. Consequently his misses more often than not will be low or left. Both showed up today.

One of the overlooked huge aspects of that game today was when the blocked field goal skidded barely out of bounds. Otherwise it likely would have been returned for a touchdown. The Steelers didn't come to play. It was obvious from the opening snaps. Reshad Jones kept them in the game briefly with his ineptitude on the reverse. I have no idea why he refuses to wrap up during downfield tackles this season instead of swiping at the ball or merely throwing a shoulder. Regardless, a sudden change like a blocked field goal return could have provided just enough hope to the Steelers while unsettling the Dolphins. Once that ball went harmlessly out of bounds I felt much better, since we were dictating the game on both sides.

Our punter remains magnificent. That was a colossal punting mismatch today.

I don't even feel confident on extra points. How would you feel on a 54 yard fg with the game on the line? I say cut him tomorrow and sign a vet.

Like I said earlier, you need a kicker who can consistently kick it from about 52 yards aND down at a high percentage. When you have a kicker who can't situations arise where you leave points and good field position for the other team. They may need to find more consistent options down the line.

Bro with all due respect your hatred for Jones is ridiculous. He's our best player and brings it every week!

Too inconsistent, even when it's in short range.

I believe it was his kickoffs that gave him the edge over Sturgis. Rizzi should be able to correct the low kicks.

Give Franks another year or two. You cant he hasty when judging them.
Gase should have him practicing at the stadium on Thursdays before the game.

I think my one concern with Franks is that I've seen him line drive several kicks at shorter distances and some of them have been blocked. That's what makes me a little nervous with him.
