Andrew Luck Watch [WEEK 4]

It's pretty straight forward - TS is gone - that is simply a formality at this point. The big question is Ireland who seems to be a big kiss *** to Ross. IF Ross has balls he cleans out Ireland and brings in someone at the top. I personally think if you had the top 3 pick and this team does have some decent talent then a Cowher would be interested. And for all those folks that think that is a bad move - you are crazy!!! Tomlin is STILL living off the system Cowher built there (although i know LeBeau is a big part of it). This team needs a shake up - someone to come in and put some fear in them. I think BP was an arrogant jerk but i'll tell you what - if he was sitting in his golf cart during practice players wouldn't be saying now how laid back and mistake oriented they were.

You cannot bring in a college coach with this team. Get Cowher - end of story!!

Root hard for the Colts.

LOL no. Palmer is no better than Henne at this point.

I agree. He ****ing sucks...

Age has caught up with him.

Did people not watch us when we played the Bengals last year? He looked terrible.

and with Ross as the owner I dont see him putting a regime in that will do what it needs to do....and the fans were very vocal for drafting a QB when we drafted Ginn.....ownership doesnt care what the fans want or we would have a QB by now.

RED: Teams that do not need a QB

In Week 4, the Dolphins gained the lead in the Andrew Luck race by falling to the San Diego Chargers and having the Chiefs (another QB hungry team) win a game. We have 2 new contenders to the race, the Eagles and Browns, but I don't expect them to stay in the race for long. (There are other 2-2 teams, but I would have to add half the league to the list if I added them, so I only added the Browns to the list since their 2 wins came against weak teams)

It is looking good for the Dolphins in the Andrew Luck Sweepstakes. With a much more difficult schedule than the other contenders, look for the Dophins to stay in the pole position throughout the season. The Dolphins' main competition for the services of the Anointed One continues to be the Indianapolis Colts. We will be keeping a close eye on the winless Colts on MNF.
i know its going to be a moot point in the end, because i believe the eagles will right the ship eventually, and if not they deff will not be bad enough to get luck.

However, if somehow against all odds the eagles were in the running and had a chance to get him, they would be dumb not to. michael vick, although he maybe exciting to watch, is not going to be the qb of this team for another 5-10 years.

i know he signed a new contract, etc, but the guy is so vulnerable the way he plays, he will not last his whole contract. they would be wise to take luck if given the chance.

What if he pulled an Eli Manning and did not want to come to Miami??
i dont see what he would gain by doing that.

look at all the top candidates for the first pick now.

kc, stl, miami, indy, seattle,etc.

why are those any more attractive to him than miami? also, as a top drafted player, you would think being as competitive as he is, he would want to go to a place where he can start right away. in indy, that most likely would not be the case.

bottom line, that isnt a common occurrence, although it does happen, and this kid seems like a good kid, and i feel he would embrace the opportunity with whoever gave it to him.

Sam Bradford is overrated trash and if the Rams have a top five pick, they will definitely draft a QB.

Have you watched any Rams games? He is not very good. He is exactly what we hated in Henne the last couple of years. Indecisive, loves to check down, poor pocket presence, not very accurate, doesn't win games in the clutch. Granted he doesn't have a lot of talent to work with, but neither does Chad Henne, really. Watch the games, don't listen to what ESPN says about him. He is highly overrated and I guarantee that if the Rams have the #1 overall pick they will draft Luck.

Apparently you didn't watch him last year

Apparently you didn't watch him last year

I did, actually, as I had Sunday Ticket. Under 6 yards per attempt despite completing 60% of his passes, which is just pitiful. The guy loves throwing bubble screens and checkdowns. He is a poor man's Chad Pennington.

What do you think was impressive about him last year?

I didn't put it past any of those teams in the running to get the first pick selecting Luck. Hard to pa
ss up on that kind of talent.

If Luck pulls an Eli Manning, we trade him to another team for a whole lot of picks.

Yup, imagine how many corn fed linemen coming off of injuries we can draft with six late round picks.

I just can't see the Rams taking Luck. They invested a ton into Bradford (50 million guaranteed right?). Plus, I think they get it together as the season goes along. Here's hoping the Vikings & Colts get some wins as well.
