Peyton is 35 years old with major health issues that are keeping him sidelined for most if not all of this season. Their backup is Curtis freaking Painter. You think they're not going to draft a QB if they can get one of the top three prospects? Okay.

agreed. even though it seems like indy will lose this game as of now, with their defense, and painter looking like maybe he can put together some scores, i think they can reach 4-5 wins.
 
Looks like the Colts are going to lose. Damnit.
 
The colts will end up with more wins than us because they're actually playing with heart. Our players can talk about how hard these games are hitting them, but I'm not seeing it out there on the field. The colts are fighting to the bitter end in every game.

My point is that a team with a 35 year old quarterback who has health issues and doesn't yet have someone being groomed behind him probably isn't going to pass on a great QB prospect with the #1 pick. I guess I'll remember to connect all the dots in my post next time.
 
they got KC, Cincy, 2 with Jax, 2 with Tenn...

Interesting...some wins there.

I hope they keep Painter. Much better than Collins.
 
Those who think we ll have to go 0-16 to get the #1 pick are silly. That's happened what, once? I'll go on record and say 3-13 will lock up the
1st pick and I guarantee 2-14 would get it. The guy who said we can't win more than one game is clueless. Bad teams start out 0-6 or so and get better or lucky and most years the worst team still manages to win 3 games. If Minny or Cin get the 1st, which I don't think they will Ponder n Dalton won't prevent them from taking Luck. That's silly. They'd trade the mediocre guys they took too soon last year. Same goes for Jax.
 
Don't overlook other under achieving teams. If the Cowboys and Jet's don't improve I could see them making a move and trading up for Luck. Both of those teams are a QB short of a superbowl.

Tony Romo is one of the best players on the Cowboys. The Jets sure, but not the Cowboys.
