McDonald was signed after rookie camp this weekend. His videos aren't always impressive, but he has extremely long arms and enought foot movement to develop on the practice squad.

Turning over stones...this is a good time to interview and access over looked players.

I can't find anything about him on the web. Any info?

Are you talking about Andrew Mcdonald, Offensive Tackle from Indiana??

He's looking for a practice squad spot. He was listed at 6'6, 285. He started for two years, mostly at left tackle. He came out of Warren Central High School in Indy, which is the state powerhouse. They won 4 straight titles and I think he was on those squads. That high school is often on some top 20 lists and is good for a number of D I prospects every year.

Good length and may have the movement skills Philbin wants. I wonder if you kick him inside to guard and let him develop at OG.

Here is an article on him.

Interesting quote:
“I still have to earn a spot, pretty much,” McDonald said. “We’ve still got to do practice. I might get cut and get put on the practice squad, something like that. Nothing is really guaranteed.”

Don't know where that 6'6" 285 stuff came from because his measurement at the scouting combine was 6'5 5/8" 317 pounds.

Watching him at the combine, he obviously is 317 pounds. He looks pretty thick.

My take from the posted game: 1) Indiana's offense is putrid. The QB has a mind of his own in a bad way, the blocking is going counter to where the plays develops puzzling. At least 2 broken plays. 2) At 2:45 mark, speed rush runs by McDonald for sack. Good run blocker quickly gets to second level but poor pass protect. RG/RT in NFL.
