Fluff piece or not, the article contains some information on how the dolphins are concerned about thier image and they are not only reaching out to the fans by being more accessable and personable, they are reaching out to the hearts of former players and thier families. Seriously good or bad giving mandich's Son a real shot at making the team shows just how much this team has changed in a few short months. I hope they continue these type of things, because win lose or draw, this is the image makeover they needed.

Meaningful for Mandich to have a chance – even a longshot’s chance – to try out for the team that his father loved so much, first as a player then as a broadcaster. Somewhere in heaven, you just know Jim Mandich will be looking down upon his son this weekend, feeling that joy that only a proud father could know
