Don’t assume the Miami Dolphins will simply hire the Best Available Broadcaster (Jon Gruden, Bill Cowher, Tony Dungy, Steve Mariucci, Brian Billick et al) should this 0-4 start continue to spiral out of control and ultimately cost Tony Sparano his job.Keep an eye on the Philadelphia Eagles, where a 1-4 start for the overhyped “Dream Team” has the highly respected Andy Reid answering questions about his job security as well.Reid, 53, is in his 13th season with the Eagles, where he has won 61 percent of his games and reached the playoffs nine times. Five times the Eagles have reached the NFC title game under Reid, but they are 1-4 on that stage and have made it that far just once since his lone Super Bowl year of 2004.Still, there’s a lot to be said for consistency, and Reid has suffered through just one losing season since a 5-11 debut in 1999.http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sport...id-tempt-the-miami-dolphins-three-things.html

Please, please, please....NO NO NO. The Eagles have been as they have in spite of this guy. I live in the Philly area and hence have seen a lot of their games and his way of handling things. After all these years as a coach the man still has horrible time management, it's just one small example of how stubborn he is and how he refuses to change to help the team.

If we are going after coaches that look like a walrus I say we go for Holmgren.

this is another guy who needs a couple of years on the sidelines to decompress and reflect back to how he may have been a better HC. No thanks... another John Fox from the lameduck frying pan into the cellar-dwelling fire scenario that probably won't work out as hoped. Aside from that he'll be too distracted keeping his druggie sons away from SoBe
