It's looking like there may be another coach on the experienced coach market, Andy Reid. Things aren't looking good in Philly, and this is after they opened up their checkbook to bring in some of the top FA's this year. Speculation is that if things don't turn around, he may be fired.

Obviously he's not having a very good year right now, but you can't argue with the body of work that Andy Reid has. That team has been one of the most successful teams in the league since Reid took over, and the Eagles have one division titles even with backup QB's because Reid's system is successful. Unlike some of the other coaches mentioned here, whose egos are bigger than Chad Henne's forehead, Reid isn't boastful and let's the results speak for themselves. Having seen us go the superstar coach route numerous times before, with limited success and sometimes disastrous results, I'm not jumping for joy to go down that route again. But if some want a successful coach, and it Reid ends up on the market, you have to consider him.

I don't want a coach who has been fired for being equally disappointing as the Dolphins in his previous gig. No thanks.

Why so he can lose to Buffalo twice a year? The guy is as overrated as he is fat!

The Eagles with all that talent have ONE win more than the Dolphins and you guys want Andy Reid?

I'm not sure I want him, but I think there's a real possibility he could end up here.

If people dismiss Reid for having a losing season, then they need to dismiss Cowher or Gruden as well. Gruden especially had as many downs as ups in Tampa Bay. Cowhers last 9 seasons in Pittsburgh included more non-playoff seasons than playoff ones.

Reid needs a year or two away from the game then we can talk and yes, I say no to Gruden too.

Sometimes teams just have bad years. That's what all the people who claim for coaches to be fired every time something goes wrong don't understand. In the end, there are guys who more often than not have very good years. Those are the good coaches, and Andy Reid is clearly one of them. His career record is 119-77-1.

It's possible, and Reid himself might want that. But I'm wary of anyone who has been away from the game for a while, as a lot of those guys seem to come back to the league and try and run the same schemes that were initially successful for them, but they work with limited success. The best example would be Joe Gibbs, but I am sure there are others.

If he does get fired or steps down, the guy needs at least a year off. He is burned out!!

Reid being fired would make Philly a nice spot for Gruden to show up. They already run the WCO and a 4-3 defense that he's familiar with. Would seem to be a very good fit for him and they have a roster full of talent in a lot of spots....just not O-line, D-line and linebacker. But WR, TE, RB, DB is solid.
